Hi Nakon, could I please run the close on this one by you? I know AFD is not a head count as such but there were 7 keep votes, 1 weak keep and only 2 delete votes plus the nom? I was wondering if you could explain how you came to a conclusion this was a non consensus close? I thought it seemed pretty clear cut to me. --- PageantUpdater (talk) 07:51, 17 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Also, I'm talking to {ping|user:Seraphimblade}} about Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Cherise Haugen being closed as delete. We now have a very confusing situation. A third AFD Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Allison Brown (2nd nomination) closed as keep today, so we now have three people notable for the exact same thing and three very different AFD closes: keep, no consensus & delete. Not sure how to deal with that going forward if there were to be future noms. --- PageantUpdater (talk) 23:08, 17 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Hi PageantUpdater, I've reviewed my close and agree that there is a stronger consensus to keep the article. I've adjusted my close to reflect the Keep outcome. Thanks, 18:42, 18 February 2018 (UTC)

Hi, Nakon. Both of the !voters in that AfD suggested a merge to the main team article, which would be this one: Wisconsin–Whitewater Warhawks football. You closed with a merge to the main university page, but I think the football team's page would be a better target, so I was wondering if you could adjust your close. Regards, Lepricavark (talk) 15:37, 17 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Howdy, I've updated the merge target. Thanks for the clarification! Nakon 18:39, 18 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, Nakon. I like that you semi-protected the Captain Underpants article for a few days just to make sure an argument didn't go out of hand. Thank you! But then I realized a few days wasn't enough; the conflict is still going. I really don't want this to escalate into a "Wikipedia World War". So could you please do me a great favor and semi-protect the Captain Underpants article indefinitely? I would like it very much. Thanks....SirZPthundergod9001 (talk) 11:37, 26 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Edit warring with rollback right

Since you granted rollback, you might want to have a look at User talk:Stanleytux#Stop edit warring and subsequent ☆ Bri (talk) 16:18, 22 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Was it your intention to block this IP indefinitely? Just thought I'd ask since you placed a temporary block template on their talkpage, not to mention the fact that IPs are normally not blocked indefinitely. Thanks. 116.51.177.3 (talk) 05:15, 25 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the clarification, I've reduced the block for the IP. Thanks, Nakon 01:58, 28 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

WP:REFUND request

Please undelete The English Project, as it was at the close of its 2008 AfD, to User:SMcCandlish/Incubator/The English Project. At the time, it was narrowly deleted on the expectation that very shortly there would be additional sources that made the organization notable and that the article would be salvageable. And there are now, but no one salvaged it, a decade later. I'm not sure how much of the original material is usable until I look at it. At very least, some early article sources quoting the founders and such as to inspiration and goals would probably be useful, even if most of the CoI prose has to be scrapped.  — SMcCandlish ¢ 😼  21:38, 22 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

GA nomination

Greetings!

I recently nominated Steve Smith (cricketer) as good article candidate (someone is yet to start a review). It would be great if you can review and provide your comments on that. Thanks. Binod Basnet Talk 09:13, 30 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

AIV clearing

Did you really intend to remove my report a mere 3 minutes after I added it? [4] If so please explain explain why. Meters (talk) 04:49, 22 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Were any of the reports still relevant? I'm happy to respond to active events. Nakon 04:53, 22 July 2018 (UTCs
Of course it was still relevant. You removed it 3 minutes after I added it. The user had had multiple final warnings and continues to add completely unsourced material. And now he has started following me around and undoing my edits for no valid reason. If AIV won't deal with him I'll punt this to ANI. Meters (talk) 05:10, 22 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
If you're not going to provide evidence of abuse, then I'm not going to be able to take action on the user. Thanks, Nakon 05:12, 22 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
I reported this to AIV, not ANI. The contribution history link is in the report. There is no requirement to list diffs. I went beyond the requirements to point out that the user was blanked warnings and was now following me around. Did you look at the report before you deleted it? If you removed by mistake just say do and I'll put it up again. No big deal. If, on the other hand, you removed it because you didn't think it was a valid report, then please explain your actions, as I asked you to, and as Admins are required to do. Meters (talk) 05:38, 22 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
This [5] is where you cleared 4 reports. Mine was 3 minutes old. The one by user:Mosstacker was only 13 minutes old. Neither was stale. The other reports by User:Bankster and User:Shellwood were an hour and 20 minutes and just over 2 hours old. I don't know if they would b considered stale. Meters (talk) 05:47, 22 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Yea go ahead and report whatever you want that is relevant. Thanks, Nakon 05:48, 22 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Done. Thanks. Meters (talk) 06:00, 22 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry. I probably just pinged you multiple timed from the page. Time for me to quite for the night. Dorry again.Meters (talk) 06:07, 22 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the ping, we'll follow up. Nakon 06:08, 22 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

John Howard

Considering that you've added semiprotection back in 2010, and now this article have seen relatively little editing activity. I think it's time to consider remove the semiprotection. Thank you. 202.161.64.247 (talk) 07:34, 13 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Captain Underpants Part 2

Considering that you semi-protected the Captain Underpants article for a few days back in January because of all this arguing activity, I think it's time to consider semi-protecting again, this time indefinitely, because the conflict is going again. Could you please do the indefinite semi-protection on the Captain Underpants article? I would really like that. Thank you....SirZPthundergod9001 (talk) 22:15, 14 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Joan Shogren

Nakon,

What gave you the right to remove the article on Joan Shogren? It was built by an authorized Wikipedia Editor, not by me. You deleted the original that I did build and then I did what I was asked to do, found a Wikipedia editor who would take on this project for NOTHING, just because it was a significant addition to the history of computer art.

With people like you in charge of this type of critical information, it's a wonder that anything, not well known, but of critical value gets published.

I guess you feel like you are a real important person because you can just delete stuff without doing the proper research. Essentially, you should be ashamed of yourself. If I had any power at all, you wouldn't be doing anymore editing for Wikipedia.

I guess you can tell, I'm very angry. Can you give me a reasonable reason why I shouldn't be angry? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Bradfregger (talkcontribs)

@Bradfregger: Admins can see deleted articles. We can see that you did, in fact, create that article. If it was not you who created it, then your account has been compromised and needs to be blocked.
Ask yourself, would you be willing to hire someone who comes in insulting everyone and screaming when he doesn't get his way? Why should we bother listening to do if you're not going to act like an adult? Ian.thomson (talk) 21:09, 14 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

ArbCom 2018 election voter message

Hello, Nakon. Voting in the 2018 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23.59 on Sunday, 3 December. All users who registered an account before Sunday, 28 October 2018, made at least 150 mainspace edits before Thursday, 1 November 2018 and are not currently blocked are eligible to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2018 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 18:42, 19 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Query

Hi Nakon, Thanks for trusting on me and granting rollback right to me but after logging in to huggle i didn't found any option to logout and each time while i exit huggle it automatically updates on the user configuration page. Is there any problem with it or can you explain me about that? regards, Azkord (talk) 10:07, 15 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Jeff Rodgers

Hi, I'd like to get the page for Jeff Rodgers, the Special Teams Coordinator of the Arizona Cardinals, verified. In my opinion, he is a notable coach in the NFL due to his experience as a Special Teams Coordinator (9 years), as well as the success he's had.

Revision

This revision also contains the rd3 material. Cesdeva (talk) 07:21, 31 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks, it's been redacted. Nakon 08:25, 31 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
