Request for 'Rhinoracer' to be banned
edit"Rhinoracer" a.k.a Alex Buchet, is a disruptive troll known for stirring up trouble and malicious trolling from forum to forum. He was, not so long ago, banned from the TCJ forums for vile threats and highly disruptive behavior, which included the threathening of other forum member's careers and children:
"You're a semi-talented, mediocre hack who is enraged at being progressively shut out of a field-- illustration-- where better artists work cheaper. So you take out your fear and frustration on the Internet.
Fucking face up to it, you idiot. Your daughter is NEVER going to college: her old man screwed up, big time.
Hey, you sneer at Dave Sim, and (truth to tell) I don't have much time for the jerk, either.
But-- he has kept the rights to his work, and still gets checks from it. The same can be said of Peter Bagge, Jaime and Gilbert Hernandez, or Dan Clowes. You? You get zilch.
They chose the hard road, while you laughed at them as you whored out for the easy money.
Guess what?
When whores age, they get dumped.
So choke on your own vomit, you cortisone-bloated, nelly-voiced, tranny Charlie Chan impersonator. You'll be out on the street soon enough. Yay for the cruelty of the marketplace.
And would some kind but severe soul ensure that this momser's pollution of the gene pool remain temporary?"
- Alex Buchet on famed illustrator and cartoonist Danny Hellman
from http://www.tcj.com/messboard/viewtopic.php?t=3106
"How's your sweet baby daughter, Danny? Tell her ol'Uncle Al is thinking of her.
Often."
- Threats towards Hellman's daughter
"BTW, Joe, I'm going to hurt you."
- Threats towards comicon forum dipshit and graphic designer Joe Kletz
"Georgie's still smarting over my fucking his mother, but come on-- it was an act of charity towards a sick and ugly woman."
- A typical threat towards a forum member's mother.
Please consider this, my good wikipedians, and ban Alex.

Actually, you're the one who's just been banned. Rhinoracer 13:27, 12 November 2007 (UTC)
Tiptree etc.
editThanks! I don't have much wiki time these days, but I'll take a look when I can... just finished the Phillips biography & got inspired. Also thanks for adding the bibliography stuff. And my sympathies for your experience with a couple of characters on your talk page who I should've known would turn up on Wikipedia at some point... ←Hob 04:44, 6 December 2006 (UTC)

editWikistalking
editI will assume good faith for now. However, as a note of caution, I will warn you about Wikipedia's guideline on harassment and wikistalking (WP:HARRASS), especially as a measure of retaliation. I welcome any discussion in order to improve the Wikipedia project. However, personal vendettas should not and I don't think will be tolerated. WatchingYouLikeAHawk 05:19, 10 July 2007 (UTC)

The cereal that is shot from guns
editI enjoyed your comment about the cereal that is “shot from guns” in the deletion debate for 1812 Overture in popular culture. I had completely forgotten about that, but it came back instantly! You must be a child of the ’50s as I am. I was quite surprised to find no reference to “shot from guns” in the Quaker Oats articles in Wikipedia. ●DanMS • Talk 04:00, 16 July 2007 (UTC)
Thank you for your input and comments on this matter. What, a lawyer who writes in stilted language? Who ever heard of that? ;-) Bearian 01:56, 12 August 2007 (UTC)
"bitee"
editAlthough it looks as though it was, I presume your comment at the Humanities Desk wasn't really aimed at me. If you're going to publicly admonish others, please be careful to leave no ambiguity over who it is that you are admonishing. Doing it on their talk pages is probably the best, as it's both totally unambiguous... and more gentlemanly. --Dweller 21:10, 18 August 2007 (UTC)

Your remarks at James Sherman (comic book artist) AfD discussion
editPersonal attacks on other editors are not welcome, and violate Wikipedia policy. There was nothing lazy or ignorant about this AfD at all. The article, in its original version, had only two sources and only one with a link. Since the AfD, others have added source citations, as is often the case. The purpose of an AfD is not always simply to delete an article, but often to rescue an article that might otherwise be deleted because it lacks proper sources and/or verification. Please remember to be civil in all of your future remarks. Realkyhick 20:09, 20 August 2007 (UTC)
- There was no misuse of AfD in this nomination at all. If you will check the history of the article at the time it was nominated, it will be quite clear why this article was nominated. Remember to look at such article from the point of view of a reader who had never heard of the subject. At the time of nomination, this article was poorly sourced and unable to be verified. It has been improved somewhat since then. My intent was to discuss deletion, as it is with any AfD that I initiate (and I've done quite a few in my time), not to "scare straight" anyone. However, if an AfD has the side effect of turning a bad article into a keeper, so much the better. I'm not so hidebound as to think that an article submitted to AfD must be destined for deletion, no matter how much improvement is applied to the article after its nomination. You seem to have let your anger get the better of you. Just because James Sherman is well known to you doesn't mean he's well known to others, and it does not remove the burden of source citation from the author(s). This AfD was perfectly within reason, even if it does not result in deletion. Realkyhick 08:47, 22 August 2007 (UTC)
Your recent edits
editHi, there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. On many keyboards, the tilde is entered by holding the Shift key, and pressing the key with the tilde pictured. You may also click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you! --SineBot 10:14, 3 October 2007 (UTC)

editThanks for removing the "retired" banner. I'm now a constructive Wikipedia editor. Not a sock. KNyholm 10:25, 12 November 2007 (UTC)
No, you're still a sock, a vandal and a troll. Your two other troll accounts have been banned; you're next. Rhinoracer 10:28, 12 November 2007 (UTC)
- The hilarious thing is that they weren't me. KNyholm 10:31, 12 November 2007 (UTC)
So? You worked with them, as your history of vandalism attests. Rhinoracer 10:33, 12 November 2007 (UTC)
Maybe the KNyholm account should be retired, for real this time. This is all kind of pathetic really. What do you think? KNyholm 10:37, 12 November 2007 (UTC)
Retire it by all means. Seriously, why did you do it? What's the point in vandalism? Rhinoracer 12:11, 12 November 2007 (UTC)

Commentary in Wh-movement
editHello, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia! I noticed that you recently added commentary to an article, Wh-movement. While Wikipedia welcomes editors' opinions on an article and how it could be changed, these comments are more appropriate for the article's accompanying talk page. If you post your comments there, other editors working on the same article will notice and respond to them and your comments will not disrupt the flow of the article. I have removed the commentary for now, but feel free to repost it on the talk page. —Umofomia (talk) 03:26, 5 June 2008 (UTC)
Re: Werewolves
editThank you for the comment. I would like to point I am not sad about the comments of my answering question. I more upset then sad or discouraged. My roommate blocked our internet because he didn't know how to fix our spam problem. I don't have the internet and its very hard to find .edus and .gov sights. And unfortunately those sights don't have the information the person is looking for. I'm trying to help people with "what I know" (but to others my information is completely wrong and they think my answers are going to confuse people...and I don't have the resource to put it there), what I remember(my memory is okay I remember what I read more often then what I watch), what I watch on television(I don't have Tivo so I can't keep shows I watch on my box so I sometimes don't remember the show), and most of my information is from older magazines, but I know they have done other studies leading to that problem is I can't find it anywhere on the internet. I am trying to answers question with what I have, what I can work with, and "I obviously what I don't know". Friends?I barely know you. Talk? Sure why not

editThanks for taking up the fight with Hoary. Me, I prefer not to deal with him after his "After some slightly regrettable expostulations it has settled down to a most civilized conversation". It was always civilized as far as I was concerned. His horse is rather too high for my taste. Cheers. -- JackofOz (talk) 18:48, 25 September 2009 (UTC)
Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
