For Authors

Central European Business Review accepts papers which fulfill the following criteria:

  • Strategic focus: Papers have to be primarily relevant for academicians, senior managers of corporations and other large companies. Especially papers in the field of management, marketing, corporate finance, human resources management, logistics and entrepreneurship are welcomed.
  • Central European focus: Only papers which are relevant for academicians and the managers of companies operating in the Central European environment will be published. Papers focusing on other parts of the world will be accepted only if their findings can be generalized or are relevant for Central European business policy-makers and researchers.
  • Research or managerial implications: Papers without clear and significant theoretical or practical impact will not be published.
  • Methodological rigor: Especially papers based on valid surveys, experiments, quantitative and qualitative research methods are welcomed. However, CEBR publishes also theoretical or conceptual papers and theory-guided case studies.
  • Adequate form: CEBR publishes papers which are readable, written in good English (British English is preferable) and which meet the submission guidelines.

Useful suggestions to streamline papers for CEBR:

  • Papers should have generalised approach.
  • The last paragraph in the Introduction section should be explaining what each section is all about in the paper.
  • Empirical papers should have hypotheses.
  • Qualitative papers should have research questions.
  • Conceptual papers ideally should have propositions.
  • Review papers should have detailed directions for future research.
  • In an empirical paper, each hypothesis should be derived based on one paragraph text grounded in prior studies logically.

There are no submission fees, no article processing charges.
