Basic Information

Aims and Scope

The Central European Business Review (CEBR) is an online peer-reviewed journal focused on business issues with a Central European perspective. The journal has five issues per year (since 2019) - March, May, July, September, December.

The CEBR journal deals with topical issues in entrepreneurship, management, marketing, corporate strategy & finance, international business, operations management, and human resources management in Central Europe. It is also open to authors worldwide who focus on Central European business issues. Papers focusing on other parts of the world will be accepted only if their findings can be generalized or are relevant for Central European business policy-makers and researchers (direct implications for Central European countries must be concluded). The CEBR journal does not accept research based on convenience sampling among the academic staff or students.

The journal publishes high quality research papers, both quantitative and qualitative in nature, as well as theoretical or conceptual papers (based on the PRISMA standards for systematic literature review) and theory-guided case studies.

The language of the journal is English.

Publication in CEBR is free of charge. There arent any submission or article processing charges.

Open-access Policy

The CEBR journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge. Users are allowed to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of the articles, or use them for any other lawful purpose, without asking prior permission from the publisher or the author. This is in accordance with the BOAI (Budapest Open Access Initiative) definition of open access policy.

Data Protection Policy

By submitting a manuscript to or reviewing for this publication, your name, email address, and affiliation, and other contact details the publication might require, will be used for the regular operations of the publication, including, when necessary, sharing with the publisher (Prague University of Economics and Business) and partners for production and publication. The publication and the publisher recognize the importance of protecting the personal information collected from users in the operation of these services, and have practices in place to ensure that steps are taken to maintain the security, integrity, and privacy of the personal data collected and processed.

Review Process and Publication Ethics

The review process is double blind.

The Central European Business Review (CEBR) publication ethics policy is periodically reviewed with respect to recommendations from COPE.
