    60% of salespeople are completely or partially wrong about the reason for losing a deal. This stat really surprised me (it’s a bit alarming, TBH). It was one of many stats I scribbled away in my notebook last week at Compete Week (hosted by Klue). I rarely take the time to go this deep on the topic of competitive enablement and win loss, and I’m starting to realize that it’s a missed opportunity. In yesterday's edition of my newsletter, I shared a full run-down of the most impactful lessons I took away from the event.     Klue knocked it out of the park with their first in-person Compete Week in Vancouver last week. The agenda was chock-a-block full of amazing CI content and speakers, and Adam McQueen and Katie Berg did a great job emceeing the two days of sessions. It was so much fun to be a part of "The Things We Wish We Knew About Compete" panel with my friends Alysse Nockels, Huzeifa Adamally and Jay Nakagawa (yes, champagne was involved) that turned into so much more than just reminiscing. Compete Week gave me the chance to meet new people as well as so many people IRL I've known via Zoom and LI for years - Benjamin Gaudet, Jenn Delconte, Ryan Sorley, Adam Houghton, Dejan Gajsek🤘, Mara Konrad, Mindy Regnell to name a few, as well as to connect with old friends like Zaven Gabriel, Jason Smith, Clara Smyth, Patrick Wall, Alex Cook and Matt K., to name a few more. I am looking forward to Compete Week 2025 - who doesn't want to visit Vancouver, eh?!?

    All good things can become LinkedIn posts. As I’m still soaking up everything I learned and figuring out how to fold the new knowledge into my work, there’s one thing I know will stick: the people and the moments we shared. Mindy: Thank you for letting me touch the 2025’s champion quilt. Clara: "I am the beep, beep, beep" will be my daily mantra before opening the laptop. Dustin: I'm glad your son chose track and not the other thing that rhymes with it. Zaven: Who knew a person could make the supply chain sound exciting!   Alysse: Did we actually briefly meet, or did I dream this part up? Thank you Klue crew for organizing the Compete Week. Kelly, Hunter, Morgan, Jenn - you were the best audience for my questionable humor. Matt - thank you for setting me up with the swag!
