2023-2024 Residents

Grace Bringhurst, PharmD

Undergraduate Institution: University of Pittsburgh
Pharmacy School: Temple University School of Pharmacy
PGY1 Pharmacy Residency: St. Luke's University Health Network
Why CMC and Levine Cancer? When looking for a residency experience, my goal was to gain exposure to as many areas of oncology as possible. CMC provides exactly what I was looking to get out of residency through a large variety of clinical rotations for both inpatient and outpatient settings. Working at a large academic medical institution also provides many opportunities for layered learning which will allow me to grow my teaching and leadership skills. I am very excited to be a part of such a supportive community that will help me become a strong clinical pharmacist, and I am looking forward to the year ahead.

PGY1 Pharmacy Residency: Atrium Health's Carolinas Medical Center
Why CMC and the Levine Cancer Institute? During my PGY1 residency year at CMC, I had the privilege of exploring various oncology rotations, where I witnessed firsthand the pivotal role of pharmacy at CMC/LCI and the seamless collaboration among healthcare teams in delivering patient-centered care. The diversity of oncology rotations and the exposure to a high acuity patient population at LCI left a lasting impression on me, reinforcing my desire to continue my training here as a PGY2 oncology resident. These experiences promise to shape me into a versatile clinician, providing exposure to diverse clinical trials and cutting-edge therapies. Moreover, the residency program's strong focus on mentorship and networking is invaluable, allowing for personal and professional development through guidance from seasoned professionals and collaborative opportunities with peers in the field. These factors collectively make LCI the ideal environment for me to further my career and make meaningful contributions to patient care and research. I look forward to the year ahead!
