This is a half-trailer/half-intro for the OVA, technically you're expected to see this before the OVA, but it works either way. Maybe this is literally missing footage from the intro, but then all main characters are shown but not introduced. Also at the end there are some images of later episodes as if it was a trailer, but you won't get enough to see what the OVA is like so what's the point? Anyway it's a must watch if you watched or plan to watch the OVA.

I didn’t have any knowledge to this anime, but the OVA can be mysterious. Keep in mind this OVA will have tons of gore.

The OVA serves as a prequel to the events of the 4 ep anime.
Probably a good idea to watch the 4 ep anime first, and this OVA really serves like a prequel filler sort of thing.
It does have some rather ecchi and fan service moment. And the gore too.
