* Based on a sport light novel series written by Kabei Yukako and illustrated by Yamakawa Aiji.

Haijima Kimichika leaves Tokyo behind and returns to his childhood home where he's reunited with an old friend, Kuroba Yuni. The two become an ace pair on the volleyball court but at the last tournament before graduation a fight causes the duo to split.

Now reunited in high school, they are forced to mend their relationship in order to achieve their dreams of making it to the top.

Actually a nice sports drama in itself. But avoid it at all cost if you hate "small things ruin everything", like seriously. But the pacing is definitely modern, it's straight to the point, and everything is resolved fast (might be too fast to some people).

At the latter part, the "bromance" it too much for my taste tho. Maybe majority of the series (outside of matches) are two boys passionately talking to their pair.
