     From 3 September 1861, her married name became Buxton.

     Edward Gurney Buxton was born on 4 August 1865.1 He was the son of Samuel Gurney Buxton and Louisa Caroline Hoare.2 He married Laura Gurney, daughter of John Gurney and Isabel Charlotte Blake-Humfrey, on 24 October 1895 at St. Faiths, Norfolk, England.1,3 He died on 19 April 1929 at age 63.1
     He graduated from Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, EnglandG, with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Norfolk.1 He held the office of High Sheriff of Norfolk in 1922.1 He lived at Catton Hall, Norwich, Norfolk, EnglandG.1

     Laura Gurney was born on 9 October 1875 at Sprowston, Norfolk, EnglandG.2 She was the daughter of John Gurney and Isabel Charlotte Blake-Humfrey.3 She married Edward Gurney Buxton, son of Samuel Gurney Buxton and Louisa Caroline Hoare, on 24 October 1895 at St. Faiths, Norfolk, England.1,2 She died on 15 December 1957 at age 82 at St. Andrew's Hospital, Northampton, Northamptonshire, England.3,2
     From 24 October 1895, her married name became Buxton. She was appointed Member, Order of the British Empire (M.B.E.) in 1919.1
