공리주의적 대량학살은 대량학살 학자 바한 다드리안이 [note 1]1975년에 분류하고 정의한 다섯 가지 형태의 대량학살 중 하나이다.공리주의적 대량학살은 홀로코스트나 캄보디아 대학살과 같은 이념적 동기에 의한 대량학살과는 확연히 다르다.이러한 형태의 대량학살은 상업적 [2][3]착취를 위한 경제적 자원을 통제하기 위해 영토를 점령하는 것과 같은 물질적 이득을 목적으로 한다.이러한 형태의 두 가지 예는 브라질 원주민들의 대량 학살과 [4]파라과이 원주민들의 대량 학살이다.
