2016년의 APG IV 체계(2009년의 APG III 체계, 2003년의 APG II 체계 및 1998년의 APG 체계와 다르지 않음)는 과를 [1][2]외떡잎식물군(Commelinales)에 분류한다.열대 및 아열대 해역에서 발생하는 이형성 수생식물의 작은 과입니다.찰스 다윈은 진부한 것으로 알려진 이질적인 이질성에 관심이 있었다.모든 종들이 이질적인 것은 아니다.이 과는 2개 속과 40여 [3][4]종으로 알려져 있다.
그것은 많은 수로에 침입하는 종인 물 히아신스로 가장 잘 알려져 있습니다.고도로 변형된 헤테란테라 가드너리는 2개의 꽃이 피는 슈단튬을 가진 수중 수생 동물이다.
