)국립과학원 인명록은 1877년부터 미국 국립과학원이 발간해 선정된 회원들의 전기를 제시하고 있다. 이 연작 시리즈(흔히 약칭 BMNAS)와 유사한 영국 왕립학회 동료들의 인명록은 "인전 연재물의 중요한 예"이다.[1]
이 시리즈의 출품작들은 피험자의 작품에 정통한 학원 구성원이 쓴 것으로 피험자가 사망한 후에 쓴 것이다.[1] 각 항목에는 전기, 사진, 피험자의 서명 복사본이 포함되어 있다.[2] 이 시리즈의 최근 전기들도 온라인에서 구할 수 있게 되었다.[3]
