Samantha’s 4-star review:
Before leaving Columbus, my family and I had a lovely lunch on Condado Tacos's outdoor backyard patio. I loved how the backyard fence was painted with phrases (e.g., Each more tacos, Enough tacos for everyone) and art.
For drinks, most people in our party shared a pitcher of White Sangria, which consisted of house white, white peach, pineapple, peach liqueur, and agave served over ice. It would have been nice to have fresh fruit in the sangria to eat. In addition to the Sangria, I had a Frozen Tequila Sunrise, which consisted of blanco tequila, triple sec, agave, grenadine, fresh juice citrus blend, and orange blended with ice. Both drinks were sweet, fruity, and refreshing. I felt that the Frozen Tequila Sunrise was stronger in alcohol than the Sangria. My only complaint is the paper straw didn't last long and I had to switch the sugarcane straws that were used with water.
For appetizers, we shared the Traditional Guac, which consisted of avocado mixed with jalapeño, cilantro, and lime, topped with pickled red onions, and served with crunchy corn tortilla chips. It was a tad bit too spicy for a few guests.
For lunch, the Plain Jane, Baja Shrimp, and Dutch Dragon Tacos were all a hit. The Plain Jane Taco consisted of a crunchy Kewl ranch shell stuffed with roasted chicken, fajita peppers, onions, lettuce, tomatoes, smoked cheddar, and salsa verde. The Baja Shrimp Taco consisted flour tortilla wrapped hard corn shell stuffed with sautéed shrimp, rice, jicama slaw, pico, and mango basil baja sauce. The Dutch Dragon Taco consisted of flour tortilla wrapped hard corn shell stuffed guacamole, roasted balsamic marinated portobello, tomatoes, jicama, cabbage slaw, pickled jalapeño, corn salsa, and salsa verde. I loved the combination of ingredients and flavors. The level of spice was tolerable. In addition to a taco, I enjoyed a side of Mexican Street Corn. This was the first time I've seen it off the cob. It consisted of fire roasted corn sautéed with garlic, jalapeños, lime, and red onion and topped with aioli, cotija cheese, tajin, and chopped cilantro. It was sweet and savory with a mild kick. It would have been cool to end on a sweet note but I didn't see any desserts on the menu.
