I read online that this location has a pool out back? Is that true? And if so, will it be open this summer? I'm looking for somewhere I can have a beer and tan (other than the water park)

      A:

They post on their socials when the pool is open - TMU it's under partnership with the attached gym, so you just have to keep an eye open (usually mid-may in the past is when it opens).

    • Q:

Can we buy cans to take to go here? Or do we have to go out to the brewery?

      A:

Yes there are limited cans for sale at the kitchen.

5 stars for everything about this place! I am all about this restaurant and the ambience is great!

Music is great! Rock music hits.

Great decor that is silly and makes me smile.

Great prices and deals on Wednesdays and Thursday. ($5 burgers and $.69 wings).

They have local draft beers and a full bar.

      Great bar foods and appetizers.

Great staff members who are friendly and attentive.

I'm so glad we didn't drive past this place and I will recommend this spot to any local or visitor to Columbus.

We went for brunch and sat at the bar on Mother's Day. The bartender was super friendly and the food was SO good.

I tried the beerspresso martini, which was very smooth. I liked how the stout beer added extra flavor to the finish
I got the breakfast nachos and it was like a mountain of food! They were tasty with the
My husband got the banana bread French toast, which was rich and good. It came with pistachio whipped cream and freeze dried bananas.

      All around would recommend!

4.5 based upon the space and the beer. I didn't have food, just visited and had beer. This location was spotless, really cool and fun. I'm an 80's kid. The music playing today was awesome, it was late 90's and 2000's alternative. Each song was a banger and what was most surprising was that the 20
Something's there sang along to every song. The folks working were super friendly. The place had a lot of cool features. Whether it was the crazy drawings, the Andre the Giant mural or in the men's room the soccer ball and goal in the urinal. It was a great spot and would for sure go again. Loved it.

My brunch experience was hit or miss, with a little more miss. Everything was fine from the service side, but at the end of the day, I just didn't like the beer here. The menu was overwhelmingly focused on double and triple IPAs. If that's your thing, you should be good.

On the food side, the sweets were the highlights. Both the brunch balls (oversized donut holes in a syrup and cream cheese) and the Apple Cinnamon Rolls are very good - the former in a more straightforward, sweet capacity while the latter in a more layered flavor, complex fashion.

The bottom kind of fell out with the savory entrees. The Hoofy breakfast looks great on paper and on the plate, but the flavor was noticeably lacking in the sausage, potatoes, eggs and biscuits. The gravy helped and the bacon was nice, but I was disappointed in the overall taste.

The chicken and waffle sandwich also underwhelmed. The waffle was okay but couldn't survive without the syrup. The chicken was very ordinary from a seasoning and flavor standpoint, and the egg on top didn't do anything to enhance the dish.

Credit to Hoof Hearted for having a cool space, but it's hard to fall in love with it if you don't care for the beer or non-sweets.

Hoof is a frequent summer spot given its next to a mostly adult only pool. The brews & cocktails are fantastic, the food is hit or miss. Steer clear of the soggy waffles & wings, definitely try the breakfast nachos & the tacos. The frozen rose is surprisingly good and a must try on a hot day.
They have some outdoor seating if it's not too hot, very limited shade & no greenery or planters so the concrete makes the area very hot on a sunny day.
      Give them a try.

This place is too fun in the summer.
You walk into the entrance and there is a bar to the left, complete with cheeky artwork surrounding it.
I have never eaten a meal there, but I really loved visiting their outdoor patio with the connected pool. You go through the indoor bar and to the right, and out another door. Theres a small patio to the left, or you can enter into the pool area to the right for an additional fee.
In the pool area a DJ was playing and dancers were doing their thing on the opposite side of the pool from the entrance. Pool chairs line the left side. We snapped up some of their delicious fried garbanzo beans and those things are so addictive I think it's probably better that I don't know exactly how they're made! They have a few different flavors of frozen drinks. The slushies are delicious but pretty small for the price. The bartender took awhile on our order so he gave us another drink on the house which was nice of him. I will also say that the pool does not have sun late in the day, as it lies directly east of a pretty tall apartment building. Overall definitely a fun place for an afternoon with friends, though I'm guessing when the pool is in the sun it's probably a pretty popular place to be.

After checking out Seventh Sons Brewing Company, we went to Hoof Hearted Brewery and Kitchen. Since we were only interested in drinks, we decided to sit at the bar. The bar was spacious and had a nice white marble countertop. Ben gave us menus to look over. He said we could try 2 samples each.

We tried 6 out of 7 of the draft beers, and we liked them all. We shared a pint of Wet When Slippery DIPA (DIPA with tangerine), a $15 flight of Rose Gose (gose with hibiscus and pink Himalayan salt), Up the Creek (fruited sour ale with strawberry, plum, and cloudy lemon), That's What Happens When You Put Ketchup On A Hot Dog (gose-style ale with raspberry, passion fruit, lime, coriander and Pinot Noir salt), Put Your Ear up To a Taco Shell What Do You Hear? (TRIPA with NZ Superdelic, Nectaron, Mega Motueka), and an 8 oz of Zipper Ripper (TRIPA with Orange Blossom Honey).

Among the Hazy IPAs, our favorite was the Put Your Ear up To a Taco Shell What Do You Hear?. It was crisp, hazy, smooth, dank, and thick.

Among the goses, our favorites were Rose Gose and That's What Happens When You Put Ketchup On A Hot Dog. The Rose Gose was light, sweet, floral (rosy), tart, and sour. The That's What Happens When You Put Ketchup On A Hot Dog was light, clean, fruity (berry), tart, and sour.

The food looked amazing, and we will have to return for brunch sometime.

We loved this place! The ambiance was exactly what we wanted for a gorgeous summer afternoon. We were able to snag one of the little wooden cottage tables and hang out there for a while. There was a great variety of drinks since not everyone in our party drinks beer, but the beer drinkers really enjoyed their flight. Pretty good prices too! The food truck took a little while but that was to be expected, we were there on an OSU game day.

What is not to like about this place? Travelling across the country and this was my favorite brewery stop. Flight was amazing. One of the triple hazies was unvelievable! The rest were great, too. Server, Luke, was chill and hella accommodating. Props to him and the crew on their service. I would be a regular if I lived near. Food was great too. Had a double cheeseburger and a salad. Would have liked to walk around and explore all their cool decor because they have some cool/trippy/hilarious stuff. Plus Jackie o's is close so that would make for a great outing

A must visit in Columbus! The food and beer are both incredible! Portions are extremely generous for a great price - the quality and flavor cannot be beat either!
