Begrundelse
[edit]This property will allow a better description about how organizations and territorial entities were merged into each other. replaces (P1365) and replaced by (P1366) are used when one entity replaces another. merged into (P7888) is used when one entity is merged into another already existing entity. But the inverse of merged into (P7888) to say that an entity was merged into the subject entity is missing. Dipsacus fullonum (talk) 09:09, 10 November 2021 (UTC)
Discussion
[edit]I am not sure about the best name for the property in English. Please correct the proposal if something else than "included as part" is better. --Dipsacus fullonum (talk) 09:14, 10 November 2021 (UTC)
- Comment how about "absorbed entity"? --- Jura 12:08, 11 November 2021 (UTC)
- Comment Inverses aren't really necessary here in Wikidata, there are other ways to get that information. ArthurPSmith (talk) 18:19, 12 November 2021 (UTC)
- It seems you missed the main point of the proposal: this is already being added with replaces (P1365) and replaced by (P1366) (and merged into (P7888) now). --- Jura 06:40, 13 November 2021 (UTC)
- Weak support I updated the label to include "(following merger)" --- Jura 12:37, 10 December 2021 (UTC)
- Weak oppose I'm not a fan of inverse properties, they should all be phased out. Germartin1 (talk) 09:50, 19 December 2021 (UTC)
- @Germartin1: Can you clarify what you mean? For the modeling question at hand, should should just delete replaces (P1365) and not link the predecessor? --- Jura 23:56, 19 December 2021 (UTC)
- @Dipsacus fullonum, Jura1, ArthurPSmith, Germartin1: Not done: There is no consensus on similar properties. —MasterRus21thCentury (talk) 05:31, 7 May 2022 (UTC)
