Template:Scholia
Purpose
[edit]Scholia is a webservice that provides some basic Wikidata-based metrics about scholarly organizations, journals, topics, works and authors. The purpose of this template is to help use Scholia back on Wikidata, e.g. on WikiProject pages.
Note: For the moment, the template only takes one argument — a Wikidata item's QID — and points directly to the Scholia page on that QID, in author view.
Scholia has a number of other views that will probably have to be handled as a second parameter, but this has not been implemented yet. Consequently, this template will currently only link to something useful if the QID it is handed actually refers to an item that is used in a author (P50) statement in an item that is an instance of scholarly article (Q13442814). In all other cases, the link produced by the template will point to a page that will throw an HTTP error.
