Chapter II: The Nightmare
Got back into Magnus Archives and i just
I love her
T-shirt that says “I understand the themes and characterization of media I like, sometimes I just make jokes”
this is a love story 🗡️
me, vibrating out of my skin : hey can I talk to you about this piece of media real quick? I pinky promise I'll be So Normal about it, like there's no reason to be concerned that this will turn into a three hour long monologue. Like I Prommy that I'm not gonna be a freak about it.
I know Undertale sort of became oversaturated and cringy but every once and a while the line “Despite everything, it’s still you” DOES hit me somewhere deep.
Hey everyone just so y’all know I am open for commissions! I’m happy to do black and white line/lithograph-style drawings for OCs, book covers, your Slay the Princess or Magnus Archives aus, fanart, tattoo designs etc!
Currently I’m dealing with a lot of debt from sudden house and car repairs, medical bills, and school expenses, so if you’d like a commission please DM me :)
This is my regular style and I’ll happily do pieces like this for $65-75 depending on complexity.
I can also do simpler, tattoo-style designs like these for $35-45.
My only limitations are that I would prefer not to draw any sexual content, or political symbols/content, but gore, body horror, anatomical content and general nudity is fine. My turnaround for commissions is about two weeks and I always send an initial sketch first and allow two revisions.
I also have prints and such available on my website for around $15, and I ship anywhere in the US.
DM me if interested! Thanks!
Hey guys I’m reopening these for a bit! If you need a character portrait or new tattoo design, hmu! You can send me a message on here or @ oglesbyfinlay on instagram :)
hello! I got captivated by your Agnes Montague art with the drippy hair/background and it inspired me to draw a clothing collection from those textures for my Fashion Illustration class! I hope it's okay with you if I illustrate that collection for my final project. (I saw your stance on tattoos of your art, and this is more transformative, so I think it should be fine.) but I wanted to tell you how captivating that art is! I'm a total wimp on horror so I don't even listen to TMA or anything, but the piece is super evocative and captivating. Thanks for making cool art!
Whaaaaat that’s so cool! Thanks so much! Thats one of my fav drawings I’ve done so this is really flattering thank you! Totally go for it!
sue did such a good job building that bathroom closet that i think she missed her true calling as a general contractor
Shoutout to my fellow alternative people who don’t wear the uniform. Shoutout to the punks, emos, goths, etc who for whatever reason don’t put on makeup or elaborate clothes to fit the aesthetic. Maybe it’s because you used to do it when you were younger and just don’t have the time/energy to do it now that you’re older (me), or maybe you have skin issues or allergies meaning you can’t wear the makeup, or maybe you literally just like the music and ethos of the subculture but don’t care for the look.
I always get surprised reactions when I tell people that I’m an elder emo and a metalhead, because while I do mostly wear black, I keep it minimal and don’t really wear makeup or dye my hair. Like I’m 30, I’ve got a busy life and just don’t have the time or money or energy to do the Look. And I don’t really like wearing band tshirts just because… i just don’t. No other reason.
I think in this current age of “aesthetic is king” people forget that like, punk and offshoots of punk were about the music and about being anti-establishment. Don’t get me wrong, I love seeing young people get into goth makeup and music, or the emo smudged eyeliner look with messy spiked hair, or guys growing out their hair so they can get the full headbanging experience. But it’s not for everyone, and you don’t HAVE to dress a certain way to be alt. And if there’s any teenager or young adult reading this who feels pressured to do the look but finds it tedious or difficult for whatever reason, its ok. You don’t have to do it if you dont like it! Being alt is about freeing yourself from societal expectations, not about putting on a uniform.
Today my toddler pointed at a dark corner of the room and said “eyes”
So that’s how my night is going so far
Hey guys... I met my wife through NaNoWriMo, I am as attached to the concept as a person could be, but if we're going to recreate it... I'm begging you to not put it in November. November is possibly the worst month for it if you live in the US. In school? You're probably studying for finals toward the end of that month. Adult? Some part of your family is going to want you to come visit them, which is a whole thing if you have to travel to see them.
We can break free of this. We can have a whole new novel writing month. I'm begging you. Even as someone whose life partner came to me through NaNoWriMo. Do not put this fucking month in November.
This has what I’ve been saying for like 10 years. November is the worst month. Between school, holidays, birthdays, etc it’s just not feasible. Maybe like, June.
baffled by all the people who have been like "weird that they cast demi moore in this role when she's still gorgeous idgi" that's literally?? the point?? that you could be the most beautiful older woman on earth & still be devalued and made to feel ugly by society & then internalize those feelings regardless of any objective beauty??
