Playing traditional 4 piece café gigs in a setting where acoustic drums are combined with either backline or direct guitars, the bass drum is usually lost when there is only a small couple of vocal focused PA speakers. This bottom end box will not support loud electronic bass situations but will surely bring the bass drum oooompphh up to par with the rest of the band i a pub gig setting.
We use this in cover rock band shows in small and medium venues.
great with tons of power.
only negatives to mention are the heavy weight and for some reason the XLR post
do not feel good.
when you push in the XLR-male plug some how it feels that the plug is not securely attached.
the unit works ok but the plug may come off with small pull from the cord.
still I am happy that i bought this one.
To men carry this still easily and the connection security is enhanced easily by placing the input cord in away that no one trips on it..
It's big, loud and great considering price. But, it does not pull at lower freq and the freq boost function makes the speaker clip at anything over medium volume making the function less usefull. I use two of these for DJ'ing at parties, they can play for 100 people with no problem.
Great starting point, but not for super users and pros.
