     Temperance Gisborne was baptised on 6 September 1767 at St. Alkmund, Derby, Derbyshire, England.2 She was the daughter of John Gisborne and Ann Bateman.1,2 She married Sir Hugh Bateman, 1st Bt., son of Richard Bateman, on 4 February 1786 at All Saints, Hartingdon, Derbyshire, England.1,2 She died on 7 March 1857 at age 89 at Marlborough Buildings, Bath, Somerset, England.3
     From 4 February 1786, her married name became Bateman.1

     John Gisborne was born circa 1716.2 He was the son of Thomas Gisborne. He married Ann Bateman on 4 February 1758 at Wardlick, Derbyshire, England.2 He died in 1779.2
     He lived at Yoxall Lodge, Staffordshire, England.1

     Catherine Juliana Bateman was born in 1797.2 She was the daughter of Sir Hugh Bateman, 1st Bt. and Temperance Gisborne.1 She married Sir Edward Dolman Scott, 2nd Bt., son of Sir Joseph Scott, 1st Bt. and Margaret Whitby, on 14 February 1815.1 She died on 4 August 1848.1
     From 14 February 1815, her married name became Scott.1

Sir Edward Dolman Scott, 2nd Bt.1

     Sir Edward Dolman Scott, 2nd Bt. was born on 22 October 1793.2 He was the son of Sir Joseph Scott, 1st Bt. and Margaret Whitby.2 He married Catherine Juliana Bateman, daughter of Sir Hugh Bateman, 1st Bt. and Temperance Gisborne, on 14 February 1815.1 He married, secondly, Lydia Gisborne, daughter of Reverend Thomas Gisborne and Mary Babington, on 8 November 1848.2 He died on 27 December 1851 at age 58.1
     He was educated at Westminster School, Westminster, London, England.2 He was educated at Oriel College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England.2 He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Scott, of Great Barr [U.K., 1806] on 17 June 1828.3 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Lichfield between 1831 and 1837.2 He held the office of Sheriff of Staffordshire between 1847 and 1848.2

     He succeeded as the 4th Baronet Scott, of Great Barr [U.K., 1806] on 21 November 1863. He succeeded as the 3rd Baronet Bateman, of Hartington Hall, co. Derby [U.K., 1806] on 21 November 1863.1

     He succeeded as the 5th Baronet Scott, of Great Barr [U.K., 1806] on 1 April 1871.2 He succeeded as the 4th Baronet Bateman, of Hartington Hall, co. Derby [U.K., 1806] on 1 April 1871.1

     He graduated from Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, with a Master of Arts (M.A.)2 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Staffordshire.2 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Staffordshire.2 He succeeded as the 5th Baronet Bateman, of Hartington Hall, co. Derby [U.K., 1806] on 18 March 1884.1 He succeeded as the 6th Baronet Scott, of Great Barr [U.K., 1806] on 18 March 1884.2 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Warwickshire.2
