Robert Leke, 3rd Earl of Scarsdale was born on 9 March 1654.1 He was the son of Nicholas Leke, 2nd Earl of Scarsdale and Lady Frances Rich.1 He married Mary Lewis, daughter of Sir John Lewis, 1st and last Bt. and Sarah Foote, on 11 February 1672.1 He died on 27 December 1707 at age 53, without issue.1
He succeeded as the 3rd Earl of Scarsdale [E., 1645] in 1680.1 He succeeded as the 3rd Baron Deincourt, of Sutton, co. Derby [E., 1624] on 27 January 1681.1 He succeeded as the 3rd Baronet Leke, of Sutton, co. Derby [E., 1611] on 27 January 1681.1
