     Thomas Yates Benyon was born on 13 August 1942.2 He is the son of Thomas Yates Benyon and Joan Ida Bishop Walters.1,2 He married Olivia Jane Scott-Plummer, daughter of Charles Humphrey Scott-Plummer and Hon. Pamela Lillias Balfour, on 17 February 1968.1
     He was educated at Wellington School, Wellington, Somerset, England.2 He was educated at Royal Military Academy, Sandhurst, Berkshire, England.2 He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the Scots Guards.2
