     Charles Henry Basset was born on 16 November 1834.2 He was the son of Sir William Williams, 1st Bt. and Caroline Eales.2 He married Harriet Mary Basset, daughter of Arthur Davie Basset, on 7 January 1858.2 He died on 1 February 1908 at age 73.2
     He was given the name of Charles Henry Williams at birth.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant in 1848 in the Royal Navy.2 He gained the rank of Major in the Royal North Devon Hussars.2 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.)2 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)2 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Barnstaple between 1868 and 1874.2 In 1880 his name was legally changed to Charles Henry Basset.2 He lived at Pilton House, Umberleigh, Devon, EnglandG.1 He lived at Watermouth Castle, Devon, EnglandG.1

Harriet Mary Basset1

     Harriet Mary Basset was the daughter of Arthur Davie Basset.2 She married Charles Henry Basset, son of Sir William Williams, 1st Bt. and Caroline Eales, on 7 January 1858.1 She died on 12 May 1920.1
     From 7 January 1858, her married name became Williams. From 1880, her married name became Basset.2

     Sir William Williams, 1st Bt. was born on 3 August 1791.1 He was the son of John Williams and Catherine Harvey.2 He married Caroline Eales, daughter of Richard Eales, on 26 September 1826.1 He died on 24 March 1870 at age 78.2
     He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Cornwall.1 He was Deputy-Warden of the Stannaries in 1851.1 He held the office of High Sheriff of Cornwall in 1851. He was created 1st Baronet Williams, of Tregullow, Cornwall [U.K.] on 4 August 1866.1

     Colonel Hon. Ernest George Curzon was born on 12 August 1828.1 He was the son of Richard William Penn Curzon-Howe, 1st Earl Howe and Lady Harriet Georgiana Brudenell.1 He married Augusta Latham Hallifax, daughter of Brig.-Gen. Robert Dampier Hallifax and Harriett Thomson, on 14 January 1856.1 He died on 5 March 1885 at age 56.1
     He gained the rank of Colonel in the 52nd Foot.1 He was Deputy Adjutant-General, Ireland.1

     Augusta Latham Hallifax was born circa 1835.1 She was the daughter of Brig.-Gen. Robert Dampier Hallifax and Harriett Thomson.1 She married Colonel Hon. Ernest George Curzon, son of Richard William Penn Curzon-Howe, 1st Earl Howe and Lady Harriet Georgiana Brudenell, on 14 January 1856.1 She died on 24 December 1917.1
     From 14 January 1856, her married name became Curzon.1

     Major Peter Brian Hay was born on 29 June 1918.1 He was the son of Major Malcolm Vivian Hay of Seaton and Florence de Thiene.1 He married Marigold Armatrude Eden, daughter of Lt.-Col. Alan George Eden and Jerardine Byrom, on 27 July 1946.1 He died in March 2004 at age 85 at Salisbury, Wiltshire, England.3,2
     He was educated at Ampleforth College, Ampleforth, Yorkshire, EnglandG.1 He gained the rank of Major in the Gordon Highlanders.1 He fought in the Second World War, where he was mentioned in despatches and became a POW.1 He lived in 2003 at Littledown, Chilmark, Wiltshire, EnglandG.1

     Angus Malcolm Hay was born on 22 September 1947.1 He is the son of Major Peter Brian Hay and Marigold Armatrude Eden.1 He married Miranda Bellville, daughter of Anthony Seymour Bellville and Diana Mary Cameron Bruce, in 1978.1 He and Miranda Bellville were divorced in 1983.1
     He was educated at Ampleforth College, Ampleforth, Yorkshire, EnglandG.2 He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the Royal Scots Greys.2 He gained the rank of Captain in the Abu Dhabi Defence Force.2
