     Philip Astley gained the title of Lord of Astley, of co. Warwick [feudal barony] in 1165.¹

     Maud de Camville was born circa 1173.² She was the daughter of Walter de Camville. She married Thomas Astley, son of Philip Astley.¹
     Her married name became Astley.¹

     Mary Quin was the daughter of George Quin and Caroline Cavendish.¹ She married Thomas Taylour, 1st Marquess of Headfort, son of Thomas Taylour, 1st Earl of Bective and Hon. Jane Rowley, on 5 December 1778.¹ She died on 12 August 1842.¹
     Her married name became Taylour. After her marriage, Mary Quin was styled as Countess of Bective on 14 December 1795. After her marriage, Mary Quin was styled as Marchioness of Headfort on 29 December 1800.

     George Quin was born on 23 February 1729.¹ He was the son of Valentine Quin and Mary Widenham.¹ He married Caroline Cavendish, daughter of Sir Henry Cavendish, 1st Bt. and Anne Pyne.² He died in 1791.¹

     Caroline Cavendish was the daughter of Sir Henry Cavendish, 1st Bt. and Anne Pyne.² She married, firstly, George Quin, son of Valentine Quin and Mary Widenham.¹ She married, secondly, Thomas Ahmuty, son of Townley Ahmuty and Margaret French, on 10 August 1792 at St. Marys Chapel, Bath, Somerset, England.¹
     Her married name became Quin.¹ From 10 August 1792, her married name became Ahmuty.¹

     Thomas Ahmuty was born in 1731 at Doveridge Hall, Derbyshire, England.² He was the son of Townley Ahmuty and Margaret French.² He married, firstly, Mary Staples, daughter of Reverend Thomas Staples and Grace Houston, on 30 July 1765 at St. Marys Priory, Abergavenny, Monmouthsire, Wales.² He married, secondly, Alice Moore, daughter of Dr. John Moore and Frideswide Coddington, on 20 August 1782 at St. Andrews Church, Clifton Hill, Bristol, England.³ He married, thirdly, Caroline Cavendish, daughter of Sir Henry Cavendish, 1st Bt. and Anne Pyne, on 10 August 1792 at St. Marys Chapel, Bath, Somerset, England.¹ He died on 7 March 1801 at Bath, Somerset, England.²
     He lived at Madeira, Portugal^G.³

     Sir Henry Cavendish, 1st Bt. was born on 13 April 1707.² He was the son of William Cavendish and Mary Tyrrell.² He married, firstly, Anne Pyne, daughter of Henry Pyne and Anne Edgecumbe, on 9 January 1730 at Chapel Royal, Whitehall, London, England^G.² He married, secondly, Catherine Prittie, daughter of Henry Prittie and Elizabeth Harrison, on 4 October 1748.^2,3 He died on 31 May 1776 at age 69.² His will was proven (by probate) on 1 January 1777.²
     He matriculated at University College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England^G, on 17 August 1724.² He held the office of Sheriff of Derbyshire in 1741.² He held the office of Teller of the Exchequer [Ireland].² He held the office of Collector for Cork in 1743.² He was Commissioner of Revenue [Ireland] in 1747.² He was created 1st Baronet Cavendish, of Doveridge, co. Derby [Great Britain] on 7 May 1755.² He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Tullagh [Ireland] between 1756 and 1760.² He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Lismore [Ireland] between 1761 and 1768.² He was appointed Privy Counsellor (P.C.) [Ireland] on 9 June 1768.² He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Lismore [Ireland] in 1776.² His last will was dated 5 December 1776.

     Anne Pyne was born circa 1707.² She was the daughter of Henry Pyne and Anne Edgecumbe.^1,2 She married Sir Henry Cavendish, 1st Bt., son of William Cavendish and Mary Tyrrell, on 9 January 1730 at Chapel Royal, Whitehall, London, England^G.² She died after 1737.³
     From 9 January 1730, her married name became Cavendish.

     Henry Pyne is the son of Sir Richard Pyne and Lucy Montagu.² He married Anne Edgecumbe, daughter of Sir Richard Edgecumbe.²
