     Hon. Lucy Elizabeth Byng was born on 17 October 1766.¹ She was the daughter of George Byng, 4th Viscount Torrington and Lady Lucy Boyle.¹ She married Orlando Bridgeman, 1st Earl of Bradford, son of Henry Bridgeman, 1st Baron Bradford of Bradford and Elizabeth Simpson, on 29 May 1788.¹ She died on 20 September 1844 at age 77 at Park Lane, London, England^G.¹ Her will was proven (by probate) in May 1845.¹
     Her married name became Bridgeman. After her marriage, Hon. Lucy Elizabeth Byng was styled as Baroness Bradford of Bradford on 5 June 1800. After her marriage, Hon. Lucy Elizabeth Byng was styled as Countess of Bradford on 30 November 1815.

     George Augustus Frederick Henry Bridgeman, 2nd Earl of Bradford was born on 23 October 1789.¹ He was the son of Orlando Bridgeman, 1st Earl of Bradford and Hon. Lucy Elizabeth Byng.¹ He married, firstly, Georgina Elizabeth Moncreiffe, daughter of Sir Thomas Moncreiffe of that Ilk, 5th Bt. and Lady Elisabeth Ramsay, on 5 March 1818 at St. George's Church, St. George Street, Hanover Square, London, England^G.¹ He married, secondly, Helen Mackay, daughter of Captain Æneas Mackay, on 30 October 1849 at St. Peter's, Pimlico, London, England^G.¹ He died on 22 March 1865 at age 75 at Weston Park, Staffordshire, England^G.¹
     He was educated at Harrow School, Harrow, London, England^G.² He was educated at Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England^G.² He succeeded as the 2nd Viscount Newport, co. Shropshire [U.K., 1815] on 7 September 1825.¹ He succeeded as the 2nd Earl of Bradford, co. Shropshire [U.K., 1815] on 7 September 1825.¹ He succeeded as the 7th Baronet Bridgeman, of Great Lever, co. Lancaster [E., 1660] on 7 September 1825.¹ He succeeded as the 3rd Baron Bradford of Bradford, co. Shropshire [G.B., 1794] on 7 September 1825.¹ He graduated from Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England^G, in May 1840 with a Master of Arts (M.A.)¹

     Georgina Elizabeth Moncreiffe was born on 20 August 1790.² She was the daughter of Sir Thomas Moncreiffe of that Ilk, 5th Bt. and Lady Elisabeth Ramsay.¹ She married George Augustus Frederick Henry Bridgeman, 2nd Earl of Bradford, son of Orlando Bridgeman, 1st Earl of Bradford and Hon. Lucy Elizabeth Byng, on 5 March 1818 at St. George's Church, St. George Street, Hanover Square, London, England^G.¹ She died on 12 October 1842 at age 52 at Norwood, London, England^G.¹ She died intestate and her estate was administered in February 1844.¹
     Her married name became Bridgeman. After her marriage, Georgina Elizabeth Moncreiffe was styled as Countess of Bradford on 7 September 1825.

     Lady Louisa Hay-Drummond was the daughter of Thomas Robert Hay-Drummond, 11th Earl of Kinnoull and Louisa Burton Rowley.^1,2 She married Sir Thomas Moncreiffe of that Ilk, 7th Bt., son of Sir David Moncreiffe of that Ilk, 6th Bt. and Helen Mackay, on 2 May 1843.³ She died on 4 September 1898.³
     Her married name became Moncreiffe.

     William Drummond, 1st Viscount Strathallan was born in 1617/18.¹ He was the son of John Drummond, 2nd Lord Maderty and Margaret Leslie.² He married Elizabeth Johnston, daughter of Sir Archibald Johnston, on 28 February 1667/68.¹ He died on 23 March 1687/88.²
     He was educated at St. Andrews University, St. Andrews, Fife, Scotland.¹ He fought in the English Civil War, as a Royalist.¹ He fought in the Battle of Worcester in 1651, where he was captured by the Parliamentarians and imprisoned.¹ He gained the rank of Lieutenant-General between 1655 and 1665 in the Russian Army, against the Poles and Tartars.¹ He gained the rank of General from 1666 to 1667 in the Scottish forces.² He was appointed Privy Counsellor (P.C.) [Scotland] in January 1665/66.¹ He was appointed Privy Counsellor (P.C.)      Helen Mackay was the daughter of Captain Æneas Mackay.¹ She married, firstly, Sir David Moncreiffe of that Ilk, 6th Bt., son of Sir Thomas Moncreiffe of that Ilk, 5th Bt. and Lady Elisabeth Ramsay, on 12 January 1819, as the result of a successful wager.^1,2 She married, secondly, George Augustus Frederick Henry Bridgeman, 2nd Earl of Bradford, son of Orlando Bridgeman, 1st Earl of Bradford and Hon. Lucy Elizabeth Byng, on 30 October 1849 at St. Peter's, Pimlico, London, England^G.¹ She died on 25 April 1869.¹
     From 12 January 1819, her married name became Moncreiffe. From 30 October 1849, her married name became Bridgeman. After her marriage, Helen Mackay was styled as Countess of Bradford on 30 October 1849.

     Lady Elisabeth Ramsay was born on 6 September 1769.² She was the daughter of George Ramsay, 8th Earl of Dalhousie and Elizabeth Glen.¹ She married Sir Thomas Moncreiffe of that Ilk, 5th Bt., son of Sir William Moncreiffe of that Ilk, 4th Bt. and Clara Guthrie, on 13 August 1786.³ She died on 3 June 1848 at age 78, when her night-cap caught fire from a candle.³
     Her married name became Moncreiffe.

     George Ramsay, 8th Earl of Dalhousie was born circa 1730.² He was the son of George Ramsay, Lord Ramsay and Jean Maule.¹ He married Elizabeth Glen, daughter of Andrew Glen, on 30 July 1767.¹ He died on 15 November 1787.²
     He was admitted to Scot's Bar in 1757 entitled to practise as a Advocate.¹ He succeeded as the 8th Earl of Dalhousie, co. Midlothian [S., 1633] on 29 January 1764.¹ He succeeded as the 8th Lord Ramsay of Carrington [S., 1633] on 29 January 1764.¹ He succeeded as the 9th Lord Ramsay of Dalhousie [S., 1619] on 29 January 1764.¹ He held the office of Representative Peer [Scotland] between 1774 and 1787.¹ He held the office of Lord of Police between 1775 and 1782.¹ He held the office of High Commissioner of the General Assembly of Scotland.¹

     Elizabeth Glen was born circa 1739.² She was the daughter of Andrew Glen.¹ She married George Ramsay, 8th Earl of Dalhousie, son of George Ramsay, Lord Ramsay and Jean Maule, on 30 July 1767.¹ She died on 17 February 1807.¹
     From 30 July 1767, her married name became Ramsay. After her marriage, Elizabeth Glen was styled as Countess of Dalhousie on 30 July 1767.

     Thomas Newport, 1st and last Baron Torrington was born in 1654/55 at High Ercall, Shropshire, England^G.² He was the son of Francis Newport, 1st Earl of Bradford and Lady Diana Russell.² He married, firstly, Lucy Atkyns, daughter of Sir Edward Atkyns and Elizabeth Lucy.³ He married, secondly, Penelope Mary Bridgeman, daughter of Sir Orlando Bridgeman, 1st Bt. and Mary Cave, on 22 July 1700 at Chelsea, London, England^G.⁴ He married, thirdly, Anne Pierrepont, daughter of Robert Pierrepont and Anne Murray, after 1705.⁴ He died on 27 May 1719, without issue.⁴ He was buried on 12 June 1719 at Wroxeter, Shropshire, England^G.⁴ His will was proven (by probate) in June 1719.⁴
     He matriculated at Christ Church, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England^G, on 21 May 1672.² He was admitted to Inner Temple on 25 November 1678 entitled to practise as a Barrister-at-Law.² He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Whig) for Ludlow between 1695 and 1698.² He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Whig) for Ludlow from 1699 to 1700.² He was a Commissioner of the Customs from 22 November 1699 to January 1711/12.⁴ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Whig) for Winchelsea from January 1700/1 to February 1700/1.⁴ He held the office of Lord of the Treasury between 1715 and 1718.⁴ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Whig) for Great Wenlock from 1715 to 1716.⁴ He gained the title of 1st Baron Torrington, co. Devon [Great Britain] on 20 June 1716.⁴ He was appointed Privy Counsellor (P.C.) on 30 March 1717.⁴ He held the office of Teller of the Exchequer from 1718 to 1719.⁴ His last will was dated 21 January 1718/19.
     On his death, his barony became extinct.⁴
