     Caroline Charlotte Craig was the daughter of Lt.-Gen. Sir James Henry Craig.¹ She married William Beamish, son of Reverend John Beamish and Mary Purcell, in 1813.¹
     From 1813, her married name became Beamish.¹

     Lt.-Gen. Sir James Henry Craig was born in 1748 at Gibraltar.² He died in 1812.²

     He fought in the Franco-Prussian War, as a member of the 1st Zouaves. He was mentioned in despatches twice, and held prisioner twice¹ for whcih Reverend Franck John de Vic Beamish was decorated with the Medaille Militaire.¹ He gained the rank of Chaplain Forces in the Yorkshire Regiment.¹ He fought in the Nile Expedition in 1885.¹

     Ann S. Greenfield was the daughter of Reverend John Greenfield.¹ She married Reverend Franck John de Vic Beamish, son of John O'Meara Beamish and Anne Harris, in 1878.¹ She died on 14 August 1938, aged 84.¹
     From 1878, her married name became Beamish.¹

     Reverend John Greenfield was the English Chaplain at Rouen, France^G.¹ He graduated with a Doctor of Divinity (D.D.)¹
