John Hamilton Dalrymple, 10th Earl of Stair

     John Hamilton Dalrymple, 10th Earl of Stair was born on 1 April 1819.1 He was the son of North Hamilton Dalrymple, 9th Earl of Stair and Margaret Penny.1 He married Louisa Jane Henrietta Emily de Franquetot, daughter of Augustin Louis Joseph Casimir Gustave de Franquetot, Duc de Coigny and Henrietta Dundas Dalrymple-Hamilton, on 9 December 1846.1 He died on 3 December 1903 at age 84.1
     He gained the rank of Captain in the Scots Guards.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Wigtownshire between 1841 and 1856.1 He held the office of Lord-Lieutenant of Wigtownshire and Ayrshire.1 He was Captain of the Royal Company of Archers.1 He was appointed Knight, Order of the Thistle (K.T.)1 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Lanarkshire.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Lanarkshire.1 He succeeded as the 11th Viscount of Stair [S., 1690] on 9 November 1864.1 He succeeded as the 11th Lord Glenluce and Stranraer [S., 1690] on 9 November 1864.1 He succeeded as the 10th Viscount Dalrymple [S., 1703] on 9 November 1864.1 He succeeded as the 10th Lord Newliston, Glenluce and Stranraer [S., 1703] on 9 November 1864.1 He succeeded as the 3rd Baron Oxenfoord of Cousland, co. Midlothian [U.K., 1841] on 9 November 1864.1 He succeeded as the 10th Earl of Stair [S., 1703] on 9 November 1864.1 He succeeded as the 11th Baronet Dalrymple, of Stair [N.S., 1664] on 9 November 1864.1 He succeeded as the 7th Baronet Dalrymple, of Cousland [N.S., 1698] on 9 November 1864.1 He held the office of Chancellor of Glasgow University.1 He graduated with a Doctor of Law (LL.D.)1 He held the office of Lord High Commissioner of the General Assembly of the Church of Scotland between 1869 and 1871.2

     Hon. Richard Denman was born on 3 January 1842.1 He was the son of Hon. Richard Denman and Emma Jones.2 He married Helen Mary McMicking, daughter of Gilbert McMicking, on 31 May 1871.1 He and Helen Mary McMicking were divorced in 1878.1 He died on 5 April 1883 at age 41.1

     Edith Matilda Birch Reynardson was the daughter of Reverend George Birch Reynardson and Julia Trollope.2,1 She married Reverend Cloudesley Dewar Bullock-Marsham, son of Reverend Robert Bullock-Marsham and Janet Dewar, on 16 February 1897.2 She died on 10 June 1929.2
     Her married name became Bullock-Marsham.

     Lady Frances Marsham was born on 25 October 1778.2 She was the daughter of Charles Marsham, 1st Earl of Romney and Lady Frances Wyndham.2 She married Sir John Buchanan Riddell of that Ilk, 9th Bt., son of Sir John Riddell of that Ilk, 6th Bt. and Jane Buchanan, on 17 August 1805.1 She died on 30 June 1868 at age 89 at the Palace, Maidstone, Kent, England.1,3
     From 17 August 1805, her married name became Riddell.

     Arthur Jones, 2nd Viscount Ranelagh was the son of Roger Jones, 1st Viscount Ranelagh.2 He married Lady Catherine Boyle, daughter of Richard Boyle, 1st Earl of Cork and Catherine Fenton, in 1630.3,4 He died on 7 January 1669/70.4
     He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for County Sligo from 1634 to 1635.4 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Weobley, Herefordshire between 1640 and 1644.4 He succeeded as the 2nd Viscount Ranelagh [I., 1628] in 1643.4 He succeeded as the 2nd Baron Jones of Navan, co.
