     James Leigh-Perrott was born in 1735.2 He was the son of Reverend Thomas Leigh and Jane Walker.1 He married Jane Cholmeley, daughter of Robert Cholmeley, in 1764.1 He died in 1817, without issue.1
     He was given the name of James Leigh at birth.2 In 1751 his name was legally changed to James Leigh-Perrott by Royal Licence.2 He was educated at St. John's College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England.2
