     Sir David Wemyss of Wemyss was the son of Sir David Wemyss of Wemyss and Euphemia Lundie.2 He married by contract, firstly, Katherine Sinclair, daughter of Henry Sinclair, 3rd Lord Sinclair and Margaret Hepburn, on 27 January 1511/12.3 He married by contract, secondly, Mariota Towers, daughter of John Towers, on 7 March 1526.3 He died circa 27 May 1544.3

     Sir John Wemyss of Wemyss was the son of Sir David Wemyss of Wemyss and Katherine Sinclair.2 He married by contract, firstly, Margaret Otterburn, daughter of Sir Adam Otterburn of Redhall, on 20 October 1534.2 He and Margaret Otterburn were divorced in 1556.2 He married, secondly, Janet Trail, daughter of Alexander Trail of Blebo, circa 21 February 1557/58.2 He died circa 25 January 1571/72.
     He fought in the Battle of Pinkie on 10 September 1547.2 He fought in the Battle of Langside on 13 May 1568.2

     Margaret Otterburn was the daughter of Sir Adam Otterburn of Redhall.1 She married by contract, firstly, Sir John Wemyss of Wemyss, son of Sir David Wemyss of Wemyss and Katherine Sinclair, on 20 October 1534.1 She and Sir John Wemyss of Wemyss were divorced in 1556.1
     Her married name became Wemyss.

     Sir John Wemyss of Wemyss was the son of Sir David Wemyss of Wemyss and Cecilia Ruthven.2 He married by contract, firstly, Lady Margaret Douglas, daughter of William Douglas, 6th Earl of Morton and Lady Agnes Leslie, on 17 April 1574.2 He married by contract, secondly, Mary Stewart, daughter of James Stewart, 1st Lord Doune and Lady Margaret Campbell, in August 1581.2 He died circa June 1622.2
