     Emma Alice Margaret Tennant was born on 2 February 1864 at Peebles-shire, Scotland^G.⁴ She was the daughter of Sir Charles Clow Tennant of The Glen, 1st Bt. and Emma Winsloe.^5,1 She married Herbert Henry Asquith, 1st Earl of Oxford and Asquith, son of Joseph Dixon Asquith and Emily Willans, on 10 May 1894.¹ She died on 28 July 1945 at age 81.¹
     Emma Alice Margaret Tennant also went by the nick-name of Margot.¹ Her married name became Asquith. After her marriage, Emma Alice Margaret Tennant was styled as Countess of Oxford and Asquith on 9 February 1925. She has an extensive biographical entry in the Dictionary of National Biography.⁶
     

     Katharine Frances Horner was born on 9 September 1885 at Mells Park, Somerset, England.² She was the daughter of Sir John Francis Fortescue Horner and Frances Jane Graham.^1,3 She married Raymond Asquith, son of Herbert Henry Asquith, 1st Earl of Oxford and Asquith and Helen Kelsall Melland, on 25 July 1907.³ She died on 9 July 1976 at age 90.¹
     Her married name became Asquith.

     Anne Mary Celestine Palairet was born on 14 November 1916 at Paris, France^G. She was the daughter of Michael Palairet and Mary de Vere Studd. She married Edward Julian George Asquith, 2nd Earl of Oxford and Asquith, son of Raymond Asquith and Katharine Frances Horner, on 28 August 1947.¹ She died on 19 August 1998 at age 81.²
     From 28 August 1947, her married name became Asquith. She was created Countess of Oxford and Asquith on 28 August 1947.

     Sir William Musgrave, 6th Bt. was born circa 1737.² He was the son of Sir Richard Musgrave, 4th Bt. He married Hon. Isabella Byron, daughter of William Byron, 4th Baron Byron of Rochdale and Hon. Frances Berkeley, on 10 December 1759 at St. Margaret's Church, Westminster, London, England^G.² He died on 3 January 1800, without issue.²
     He gained the title of 6th Baronet Musgrave, of Hayton Castle, Cumberland [N.S., 1638].

     Reverend Francis Annesley was born before 1701.¹ He was the son of Francis Annesley and Elizabeth Martin.¹ He married Anne Gayer, daughter of Robert Gayer and Lady Elizabeth Annesley.² He died on 1 May 1740.²
     He was the Rector at Winwick, Lancashire, England^G.¹ He was awarded the honorary degree of Doctor of Law (LL.D.)¹

     Charles Howard, 1st Earl of Carlisle was born in 1629.² He was the son of Sir William Howard and Mary Eure.³ He married Hon. Anne Howard, daughter of Edward Howard, 1st Baron Howard of Escrick and Hon. Mary Boteler.¹ He died on 24 February 1684/85 at Castle Howard, Castle Howard, Yorkshire, England^G.² He was buried at York Minster, York, Yorkshire, England^G.² His will was proven (by probate) on 18 May 1685.²
