The latest installment of Apple’s long-running ‘Shot on an iPhone’ campaign brings together Latin music and Loteria, a traditional Mexican bingo-style game.

‘Suerte’ (Lucky) is a 13-minute short film shot entirely on iPhone by the agency TBWA\Media Arts Lab Latam for Apple.

Merging the worlds of Música Mexicana, a Latin music subgenre, and Loterina, a traditional musical bingo game from Mexico, the film tells the story of a young US Hispanic artist who overcomes his creative block by connecting to his roots.

Apple has tapped Música Mexicana musicians to star in the spot, including Iván Cornejo, Eden Muñoz, Maria Zardoya and producer Camilo Lara. Behind the camera are Mexican-American directors Pasqual Guttierez and Raul ‘RJ’ Sanchez.

The ad will run on digital, TV and on social in the US and Mexico. There is a supporting out-of-home campaign and behind-the-scenes videos that show how the film was shot on the iPhone 15 Pro.
