Strawbery Banke Museum, in partnership with Ice Dance International, presents Seacoast Skating with the Stars (SSWTS) professional skating show. Watch skating routines by local "stars" paired with professional skaters from Ice Dance International.
Choreographed by Douglas Webster, Ice Dance International & Labrie Family Skate at Puddle Dock Pond Artistic Director, local "stars" are paired with IDI pros in a skate-off for audience votes. As in “Dancing with the Stars,” esteemed judges give their marks on skill and expression. Seacoast Skating with the Stars also includes performances by the IDI company.

Enjoy exclusive rinkside access on the Kennebunk Savings Terrace with VIP tickets, plus a meet-and-greet with the skaters and post-show skating until 4 PM (first come, first served).

Enjoy access to the main viewing area around the rink. If you prefer to sit, please bring your own lawn chair.

Seacoast Skating with the Stars is scheduled to occur on Saturday, February 1, 2024 from 2 to 3 PM, with a rain/weather date of Sunday, Februray 2, 2024 from 11 AM to 12 PM.

This event lasts approximately 60 minutes. VIP ticket holders are invited to skate after the show until 4 PM (or 1 PM if moved to the weather date).

To purchase tickets for Seacoast Skating with the Stars, purchase online via the Museum website or call 603.433.1100. Online ticketing is available for convenience. Tickets may also be available for purchase on-site the day-of the event, depending on availability

No. Library passes are valid to use on general museum admission and to Strawbery Banke’s signature events (Signature Spring Event, Ghosts on the Banke, and Candlelight Stroll) only.

Seacoast Skating with the Stars tickets are non-refundable. Tickets are transferrable. Simply, give the paper ticket or forward the e-ticket to whomever will be attending the event.

Please note that Strawbery Banke’s main parking lot at 14 Hancock Street is very limited. If the lot is full, visitors are encouraged to try nearby off-site parking options including Portsmouth's two parking garages:

If the ice conditions are expected to be unfavorable for Seacoast Skating with the Stars, the event will move to it’s weather date of Sunday, February 2, 2025, at 2 PM. If the date is moved, ticket holders will be notified with as much advanced notice as possible to the email address provided.

Photography and videography for personal use is permitted during Seacoast Skating with the Stars. However, Strawbery Banke reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to withhold and withdraw permission to photograph and/or film on its premises or reproduce photographs of objects in the collections.

Seacoast Skating with the Stars takes place outdoors, so please dress warmly and in layers. Sturdy, weather-appropriate footwear is essential for navigating the historic grounds. Be prepared for cold temperatures and the possibility of snow or rain to ensure a comfortable and enjoyable evening.

Dogs and other pets are not permitted on the Museum grounds when the Museum is open for special events.
Service dogs, as defined by the ADA, are welcome.
