Barbados-born cricketer Kyle Rico Mayers was born on September 8, 1992. He features in all formats of international cricket for the West Indies cricket team. He played for Barbados in the Regional Super50 tournament for 2019–20. He went to Ft Lauderdale, Florida in November 2019 to play in the US Open. Mayers became the 14th West Indies batsman to record a century on his Test cricket debut when he struck a century on his debut. He became the sixth batsman to hit a double century in his Test debut when he concluded his innings at 210 not out. He also led the West Indies to a successful chase of 395, the fifth-highest total in Test history. Mayers received his debut red ball contract from the West Indies Cricket board in May 2021.

In the second innings of the third test of England's tour to the West Indies on the 27th of March in 2022, Mayers claimed his maiden five-wicket haul against England in St. George's. He ended with figures of five for eighteen and seven wickets in the match.

He recently played a Test match at the DP World Wanderers Stadium in Johannesburg, South Africa, against South Africa,on 20 March 2023, and scored 29 runs off 83 balls.
