In September 2024, Miro left the wrestling world stunned by reportedly asking for his release from AEW. The Redeemer was allegedly frustrated with his creative booking in All Elite Wrestling, prompting him to look for a way out.
However, Tony Khan has refused to grant the 39-year-old star's request to leave the Jacksonville-based promotion. The former Rusev is one of the most well-recognized figures among the AEW audience, and TK would be eager to keep him on the roster till the end of his deal.
Having not released the former TNT Champion, the AEW President must have a plan to bring the 39-year-old star back on television. TK would want to rectify his past booking mistakes by having The Bulgarian Brute explore new and exciting storylines.

In this article, let's look at three ways the head booker of All Elite Wrestling could bring back Miro.
#3. The Redeemer could attack Tony Khan to set up a feud with Kenny Omega
Several reports of Miro having differences with AEW's creative team have emerged in the past. The Redeemer's booking has taken a hit since 2021, as he has been involved in many underwhelming storylines over the past two years.
The Bulgarian Brute clearly seems frustrated with Tony Khan's booking. An intriguing way to bring the behemoth star back on television could be by having the monstrous star launch an assault on TK. It would be a groundbreaking moment, that would help restore people's interest in Miro's character to some extent.
Miro's attack on the AEW President could set him up for a collision course with Kenny Omega. As one of AEW's Executive Vice President, The Cleaner would not look away from the assault on the promotion's head booker.
Miro vs. Kenny Omega could be a solid singles rivalry that would help elevate both superstars. Having stayed away from in-ring competition for nearly a year, The Best Bout Machine would love to test himself against The Bulgarian Brute.
#2. Miro could form a stable with Powerhouse Hobbs and Wardlow
At Worlds End 2024, Powerhouse Hobbs will challenge Konosuke Takeshita for the AEW International Championship. While The Monstar has emerged as a strong contender, the possibility of him dethroning Takeshita seems very low.
If Powerhouse Hobbs fails to capture the International Championship, he could ally with a returning Miro. The two stars are no strangers to one another, as they have previously battled each other at All Out 2023.
To further make things interesting, the duo could join forces with Wardlow, who has been away from AEW television since March 2024. A faction comprising Miro, Wardlow, and Powerhouse Hobbs would instantly become one of the most intimidating forces on AEW television.
The group could wreak havoc in the Trios division, emerging as a legitimate threat to The Death Riders. It would be a great way to rejuvenate the careers of the three behemoths, who have not been used as per their potential.
#1. The former WWE United States Champion could target Jon Moxley
Since his return at All In 2024, Jon Moxley has been vocal about his desire to rebuild AEW as per his own vision. The Purveyor of Violence is eager to eliminate complacency from the promotion and he has opted for a violent method to fulfill his mission.
The Deathrider has put together a new villainous group named Death Riders, comprising Claudio Castagnoli, PAC, Wheeler Yuta, and Marina Shafir. Bryan Danielson, Darby Allin, and Orange Cassidy are some of the prominent AEW stars to have become victims of the heel faction so far.
However, things could get interesting if Miro decides to challenge Jon Moxley for the AEW World Championship. Having been absent from in-ring competition for over 12 months, The Redeemer could make his return in a grand fashion by targeting Moxley.
The former WWE United States Champion is exactly the kind of talent that Moxley would hope to not be on the company's roster. The Ace of AEW would be frustrated with the 39-year-old star for asking for his release from the company, instead of supporting Moxley's vision.
Although The Deathrider does have the numbers advantage, overcoming a monstrous individual like the former TNT Champion would certainly be a tough ask for the reigning AEW World Champion.
