The final week of September football in the NCAA did not fail to deliver.
The matchup between No. 2 Georgia and No. 4 Alabama was expected to be the headliner on Saturday, but it was an all-time thriller. The Crimson Tide defended home turf in Tuscaloosa, as Ryan Williams helped Alabama to a win over its rival, and now will surely leapfrog Georgia in the rankings.
There were a number of top-10 upsets in Week 5 as well. No. 6 Ole Miss lost to Kentucky at home 20-17. No. 10 Utah also dropped its first loss of the season, falling to Arizona 23-10.
Looking at the field of other top-25 matchups that took place outside of Georgia-Alabama, No. 16 Notre Dame outlasted No. 15 Louisville 31-24, No. 23 Kansas State knocked off No. 20 Oklahoma State 42-20
