Boss Level Reviews
Excellent and fun film, tinged with gaming references and also a nod to Groundhog day. Great fun.
Und täglich grüßt das Mumeltier mit einer Version von Deadpool. Tolle Action, lustige Gags aber lahme Abschnitte zwischendurch.
Too average as a movie and definitely not anything impressive for a 2020 movie...
This is a joy to watch over and over
excellent movie!! Frank Grillo really shines in this movie!!!
movie just does not work.
Well, it's just a great movie and worth re-watching every now and then.
It's a lot of fun, but the script ends up getting lost in the final part.
The film is certainly not a masterpiece, but the way Boss Level uses the "Groundhog Day" mechanic and expands it to include gaming, action and the like is simply fun. Entertaining film, where you can switch off your head well.
Frank Grillo makes the movie good, with witty humor and good action scenes. It's definitely worth watching. "I am Roy and Roy has done this"
Fun, entertaining, good cast and whatever you might think: it's worth watching.
Dialogue was lacking luster in a big way. Otherwise, I loved the action scenes, the constant replay, always throwing in a little extra missed the 1st time. Most of the actors were casting properly. Great entertainment value. Not a family movie.
Like time loop movies? Me either. But this was great! I'm shocked . . . It's an 8 or 9!
Very entertaining movie. Fun action movie with the right bit of comedy and sarcasm built into it and not overdoing it on extremely hokie action stuff. It's the "Groundhog Day" of action sci-fi genre.
Loved it, watched it many times over, great story, great acting, funny bits, sad bits. I do love a time defying sci-fi. Can't wait to watch it again.
Hulu presents time travel meets explosive-action thriller What happens when you reach the boss level? Frank Grillo, Mel Gibson, Naomi Watts, Michelle Yeoh, Annabelle Wallis Grillo of Marvel Cinematic Universe fame stars as a special forces agent Roy Pulver, he had a wife but she died Roy has been trapped in a time loop repeatedly since then reliving his own death His only hope is to find the ones responsible making him relive this hell over and over again Gibson stars as Colonel Clive Ventor who appears to be in charge of the whole operation Roy's wife may have also had a hand in stopping Ventor The past is the past, we're meant to leave things behind, we move forward and move from what's already happened, maybe it's impossible to restart our world without the tragedy The movie makes fun use of its time loop bits with lots of gun fights, car chases, and Grillo narrating the ups and downs of trying to beat the system They even incorporate video game-style mechanics and influences too Apart from the ending that just feels incomplete this is a fun watch with a story about love and redemption
Keeps you routing for the guy to win throughout the whole film. Action, suspense, Live, mystery, intrigue and and ending that keeps you wondering.
Cool concept; wff ending... just enjoy it till then.
A surprisingly cool action movie and video game version of Grounhog Day for nerds. It mixes some iconic scenes of Bill Murray (like the piano lessons versus the sword lessons of Michele Yeah are very good; the IT guy in the Japanese restaurant vs Ned Ryerson) but with the twist of a video game structure, which make it very dynamic and parodexically not repetitive. A mix of classic time loop + source code (but funny and sarcastic) + some John Wick + a lot of Kill Bill arcastic
genuinely good movie. Intricate story, no script cringing, good acting, lots of action, funny at times, excellent execution. A real hidden gem
