NewsHour Classroom helps educators spark young people’s interest in the world around them by:

• providing news videos with accompanying transcripts to support students' understanding of key facts using media literacy education and opportunities to share their ideas and questions on complex topics.
• creating high-quality, free lesson plans and media literacy teaching tools that make it easy to bring current topics into the classroom with a focus on social studies, English, civics, arts and STEM.
• offering an outlet for young people and teachers to share their thoughts on current issues that are important to them by publishing original work on Classroom's Educator and Student Voice blogs.
