Hysterics As Dog Thinks He Is 'One Of The Guys'

A bulldog from California has left the internet in stitches after his owner caught him on camera acting like "one of the guys."

In the hilarious clip, shared on TikTok on Wednesday, under the username beautifiedtouchllc, the poster's partner can be seen on his way out the door, shaking hands with a friend sitting on the couch—but when the dog noticed, he wanted to be included too.

That's when out of nowhere, the bulldog started high-fiving the man with his paw, imitating his previous handshake.

A caption shared with the viral clip reads: "When your dog thinks he's one of the guys."

Dogs are pretty smart creatures and are considered among the most intelligent in the animal world. According to WebMD, they can comprehend between 100 and 200 human words, though their understanding is based on associative learning rather than literacy.

Some dogs are also good at basic math and can solve easy problems, such as figuring out the best path to get to their favorite toy or treat.

"Experts find that dogs recognize important words. In some cases, the dog responds to the word itself. In other cases, dogs recognize the tone of voice and body language humans use as well as the words," the website said.

The video quickly went viral on social media, getting viewers from across TikTok. It has so far received over 1.8 million views and 302,300 likes on the platform.
