    Area 1 Commander


    Lieutenant Corey Wolik began his career with the City of Placentia and joined our department in July 2003. He was promoted to the rank of sergeant in 2011 and attained his current rank of lieutenant in February 2023. With his promotion, he was assigned as the Area 1 commander.

    About Area 1

    Area 1 includes the Balboa Peninsula, Bay Island, Lido Isle, Cannery Village, Newport Isle, and part of West Newport. It is the smallest of our four areas with the highest density of residents and visitors.

    Quality-of-life issues, boardwalk safety, and beach activity are the main focus for community members in this area.
