Caleb McConnell

Cut by Hornets McConnell, a second-year pro hailing from Rutgers, is a candidate to join Charlotte's G League affiliate in Greensboro. He spent last season with the G League's Oklahoma City Blue.

Marcus Garrett

Waived by Charlotte Garrett's cut comes as part of a roster consolidation alongside Charlotte's peripheral role in facilitating the Karl-Anthony Towns trade with New York and Minnesota. The 25-year-old was on a training camp contract, and he will be rewarded financially if he opts to stick with Charlotte's G League affiliate.

Jaren Jackson

Dealing with low-grade strain Fears of Jackson dealing with a hamstring strain have been confirmed, but suffering a low level of severity bodes well for the 25-year-old. Coach Taylor Jenkins fully expects Jackson to be ready for Opening Night, while also noting that the Grizzlies will proceed cautiously with his activity throughout the remainder of training camp.

Lonzo Ball

Setback-free in camp Ball appears to be on track to suit up Oct. 23 when the Bulls travel to New Orleans to kick off the 2024-25 season. While two days of training camp can yield premature optimism, Ball continuing to ramp up only bodes well for returning to the court for the first time since Jan. 14, 2022.

Luka Doncic

Will miss preseason opener Doncic took an inadvertent kick to his left calf during Sunday's private workout and underwent an MRI on Tuesday after experiencing tightness during Monday's first training camp practice. The MVP candidate will likely miss more than one exhibition and could be sidelined for the entire preseason schedule. However, per Tim MacMahon of ESPN.com, Doncic is expected to be ready for the regular-season opener against the Spurs on Oct. 24.

Jaedon LeDee

Waived by Minnesota LeDee will likely catch on with Minnesota's G League affiliate. His cut is especially unsurprising in the context of Minnesota acquiring Keita Bates-Diop from New York as a less-notable element of the Karl-Anthony Towns trade -- which became official Wednesday afternoon.

Immanuel Quickley

Playing through thumb sprain Quickley wore a small brace on his left hand Wednesday as a precaution after suffering a thumb sprain in workouts prior to training camp. The 25-year-old appears mostly unfazed, but the injury is still notable in case of similar incidents in the future.

Day'Ron Sharpe

Appears good to go Sharpe battled a right wrist effusion at the end of the 2023-24 season, but the 22-year-old had a smooth offseason of recovery. He enters training camp competing with Noah Clowney for back-up frontcourt minutes.

Ziaire Williams

Practice participant Williams dealt with a lower back injury and a hip flexor strain last season with Memphis, which combined to prematurely end his campaign in March. Entering training camp healthy is notable for the 23-year-old, who will fight to carve out a rotation role with Brooklyn.

Cameron Johnson

Spotted at practice Johnson dealt with a left big toe sprain to end the 2023-24 season, but he appears fully healthy at the commencement of training camp. He averaged 13.4 points, 4.3 rebounds and 2.4 assists on 44.6 percent shooting from the field across 58 regular-season appearances last year.

Jakob Poeltl

Present for practice Poeltl's presence at Wednesday's practice marks his first activity since undergoing surgery on his left pinkie finger in March, which ended his 2023-24 season. Poeltl enters training camp following a smooth offseason of recovery.

Luka Doncic

Dealing with calf contusion Doncic dealt with ankle, knee and chest injuries during the Mavericks' playoff run last season but didn't miss any games and was active during the summer, playing for the Slovenia national team during an Olympic qualifying tournament. It's concerning to see the MVP candidate already dealing with another injury, but there's no indication he's in danger of missing the start of the regular season.

Johnny Furphy

Dealing with ankle soreness Furphy is one of numerous Pacers tending to minor injuries in the first few days of training camp, per coach Rick Carlilse. The 19-year-old's impending absence appears to be precautionary maintenance for the rookie during the team's ramp-up process.

Cody Williams

Ready for training camp Williams missed Utah's Summer League game on July 21 with an illness, but his status for camp wasn't in doubt. The No. 10 overall pick in the 2024 NBA Draft, Williams should be able to compete for a rotation spot right away with the Jazz undergoing a rebuild.

Collin Sexton

Good to go Sexton had four consecutive absences due to an illness to end his 2023-24 campaign. He made a total of 78 appearances in the regular season, averaging 18.7 points, 4.9 assists, 2.6 rebounds, 1.6 three-pointers and 0.8 steals in 26.6 minutes. It's likely that he plays a similar role in 2024-25, though the Jazz did add Isaiah Collier with the 29th pick in the 2024 NBA Draft.

Brice Sensabaugh

Cleared to play Sensabaugh tore an extensor tendon in his left middle finger during the Summer League and was given a six-week timetable, so he likely had plenty of time to work on his game during the offseason. He made 32 regular-season appearances as a rookie, posting averages of 7.5 points, 3.2 rebounds and 1.7 assists in 18.3 minutes.

Jason Preston

Healthy for camp Preston missed back-to-back games to end the Summer League action due to personal reasons, but he's ready to roll for camp. The Jazz signed Preston to a two-way contract over the offseason, and it's likely that he spends most of his time in Salt Lake to open the 2024-25 season.

John Collins

Cleared for camp The Jazz shut Collins down on March 29 with a back injury, though they were likely being cautious with nothing to play for. The veteran compiled averages of 15.1 points, 8.5 rebounds and 1.1 assists in 28.0 minutes per game across 68 appearances, but he'll face stiffer competition this season from Taylor Hendricks in the frontcourt.

Taylor Hendricks

Good to go Hendricks missed Utah's final Summer League game to tend to a personal matter, so his status for camp wasn't in any real doubt. Coach Will Hardy spoke highly of Hendricks during Media Day, and noted that the forward put on 21 pounds during the offseason.

Lauri Markkanen

Cleared to play Markkanen missed Utah's final nine games of the 2023-24 season, and he wasn't able to play for the Finnish national team during the 2024 FIBA Men's Olympic Qualifying Tournament in July. He has a clean bill of health now, however, and he will be returning as the focal point of Utah's offense after securing a five-year, $238 million contract extension with the Jazz.

Isaiah Collier

Good to go for camp Collier missed Utah's final exhibition game in Las Vegas due to pain in his right knee, but the issue wasn't considered serious. The 29th overall pick in the 2024 NBA Draft, Collier could win the backup point guard role behind Keyonte George with a strong showing during the preseason.

Jordan Clarkson

Healthy for camp Clarkson battled some joint inflammation in his back to cut his 2023-24 season short. The veteran ended up making 55 appearances in the regular season, averaging 17.1 points, 5.0 assists and 3.4 rebounds while shooting 41.3 percent from the field. The Jazz had a quiet offseason, so it's likely that Clarkson will play a similar role in 2024-25.

Caris LeVert

Going through camp LeVert aggravated a lingering knee injury during Game 5 against the Celtics to end his season. There's been no mention of his knee at camp, however, so he should be all systems go. During the 2023-24 regular season, LeVert compiled averages of 14.0 points, 5.1 assists, 4.1 rebounds, 1.1 steals and 1.6 three-pointers in 28.8 minutes across 68 appearances.

Donovan Mitchell

Participating in camp Mitchell missed the final two games of the Cavaliers' Eastern Conference semifinal round loss to the Celtics with a left calf strain, but it's no surprise to see him at full strength to open camp. Mitchell won't have any distractions this season after recently agreeing to a three-year, $150.3 million extension. During the 2023-24 regular season, Mitchell compiled averages of 26.6 points, 6.1 assists, 5.1 rebounds, 1.8 steals and 3.3 three-pointers.

Cody Martin

Cleared to play Martin is coming off another injury-plagued season with the Hornets. He appeared in 28 games during the 2023-24 campaign and averaged 7.5 points, 3.9 rebounds, 3.7 assists, 1.1 steals and 1.0 three-pointers in 26.9 minutes per game. The Hornets love his versatility, and he's likely to have a decent role off the bench if he can stay on the floor.

Seth Curry

Goes through practice Curry missed the end of the 2023-24 campaign with a right ankle sprain, but there's been no report of any limitations to open camp. Curry made eight appearances after being acquired from Dallas, posting averages of 9.0 points, 2.0 rebounds and 1.8 assists. He'll likely be competing for a minor role in the backcourt with the Hornets getting a lot of healthy bodies back, including LaMelo Ball.

Nick Richards

Cleared for camp Richards missed the season finale due to right plantar fascia discomfort, but that was considered a day-to-day issue at the time. Mark Williams is currently battling a foot injury, so Richards could see a ton of reps in the preseason. In 67 appearances during the 2023-24 regular season, Richards averaged 9.7 points, 8.0 rebounds and 1.1 blocks in 26.3 minutes.

Grant Williams

Goes through practice Williams missed the final two games with an ankle injury to end his 2023-24 campaign. The veteran fared well for Charlotte during the regular season, averaging 13.9 points, 5.1 rebounds and 3.2 assists in 30.6 minutes per game. Charlotte is much healthier this time around, however, so it will be interesting to see what type of role Williams is able to carve out for himself.

Miles Bridges

Participating in camp Bridges missed the Hornets' season finale April 14 with a wrist injury, but it was likely a precaution with the team having nothing to play for. Bridges has a fresh three-year, $75 million contract with the Hornets, though his usage rate could take a hit this season with LaMelo Ball healthy and Brandon Miller potentially ready for a larger role.

Dorian Finney-Smith

Going through camp Finney-Smith missed the Nets' final five games of the 2023-24 season due to left knee inflammation, but it's widely believed that the franchise were just being cautious. The veteran posted regular-season averages of 8.5 points, 4.7 rebounds, 1.7 three-pointers and 1.6 assists in 28.4 minutes across 68 appearances. With the Nets in the early stages of a rebuild, Finney-Smith is likely to hear his name in the rumor mill quite a bit.

Zaccharie Risacher

Participating in camp The Hawks have made no mention of the quadriceps injury that limited the rookie during the Summer League. The No. 1 pick in the 2024 NBA Draft, Risacher will have the opportunity to make his case for the starting small forward role in camp.

Chuma Okeke

Back with Knicks The Knicks waived Okeke in order to process the Karl-Anthony Towns trade. However, they will bring Okeke back to camp to give the forward a chance to make the final roster.

Jalen Johnson

Going through camp Johnson missed the end of the 2023-24 campaign with a Grade 2 lateral ankle sprain. At Media Day, Johnson said he will be wearing some new shoes along with an ankle brace to provide more support and prevent future issues. He'll have plenty of hype in fantasy drafts after posting regular-season averages of 16.0 points, 8.7 rebounds, 3.6 assists, 1.2 steals, 0.8 blocks and 1.3 three-pointers in 56 appearances.

Brandon Clarke

100 percent for camp Clarke made his 2023-24 season debut on March 27 after recovering from an Achilles injury, but later missed the season finale with a hand contusion. That was a minor issue, however, and there's been no reported restrictions for Clarke. With Jaren Jackson (hamstring) injured to start camp, Clarke has a big opportunity during the preseason.

Marcus Smart

A full go for camp Smart ruptured the proximal interphalangeal joint central slip on his right hand and last appeared in a game on Jan. 9. He was supposed to be re-evaluated before the end of 2034-24 season for a possible return, but Memphis was out of the playoff hunt by then. Prior to his injury, Smart was productive, posting averages of 14.5 points, 4.3 assists, 2.7 rebounds, 2.1 three-pointers and 2.1 steals in 30.3 minutes in 20 appearances.

Zach Edey

Participating in camp Edey tweaked his right ankle during the Summer League which shut him down early, but by all accounts, it was a minor issue. There's been no talk of any limitations at camp, and the expectations around Memphis are very high for the rookie. Edey was spotted hitting some three-pointers with ease and looks ready to compete for the starting center role.

Jimmy Butler

A full go for camp Butler suffered a right MCL sprain during Miami's Play-In Game loss to the 76ers, but he had a healthy offseason for the most part. Butler's durability has been a major red flag for fantasy managers, as he's missed 20 or more regular-season games three times in the past four seasons. He's been challenged by Pat Riley to get back on track, however, and Butler made it clear that he's up to the task.

Desmond Bane

Healthy for camp A back injury robbed Bane of the final nine games of the 2023-24 season, and that took place shortly after he missed a couple months with an ankle issue. He had a healthy offseason by all accounts, however, and fantasy managers will be looking for him to bounce back with his injuries behind him. In just 36 regular-season appearances last season, Bane averaged 24.7 points, 5.4 assists, 4.7 rebounds and 1.0 steals in 34.9 minutes.

Andrew Wiggins

Doesn’t practice Tuesday Wiggins was the only Warrior unable to participate in Tuesday's practice. With the departure of Klay Thompson, Wiggins is now expected to take on a larger offensive role in 2024-25. His first chance to take the floor this season is Saturday's preseason opener against the Clippers.

Duane Washington

Shipped to Charlotte Washington hasn't made an NBA appearance since the 2022-23 season for Phoenix. He is expected to be waived and could rejoin EuroLeague club Partizan in Belgrade, Serbia.

James Nnaji

Rights traded to Knicks Nnaji is a project for the future who continued playing overseas for FC Barcelona after being selected with the No. 31 pick of the 2023 Draft. The 20-year-old could end up on the roster down the road, but the Knicks are not expected to bring Nnaji in anytime soon. Across 26 regular-season games for Barcelona in the 2023-24 season, Nnaji averaged 2.3 points and 2.2 rebounds across 8.3 minutes per game.

Charlie Brown

Dealt to Charlotte Brown assumedly is included in this deal as a sign-and-trade, as the Knicks didn't extend him a two-way qualifying offer earlier this offseason. Brown made just eight regular-season appearances for New York in 2023-24, and will likely compete for a regular-season roster spot in Charlotte.
