The New York Knicks defeated the Sacramento Kings, 106-105, at Cox Pavilion in the NBA 2K25 Summer League in Las Vegas on Wednesday.

The Knicks and the Kings played a back-and-forth contest, so it wasn’t surprising to see this game go down to the wire. The Kings enjoyed an impressive start and raced to a 30-23 lead following the first quarter, but the Knicks responded with an identical score in the second quarter to enter halftime tied.

The Knicks grabbed the lead after three quarters and pulled away at the start of the fourth quarter, but the Kings stormed back, and it was a one-point game heading into the final two minutes. Sacramento carried the momentum and grabbed the lead in the final seconds, but the Knicks held on for the victory when Tyler Kolek converted a three-point play with two seconds left.

Kolek was the leading scorer for the Knicks with 21 points and eight assists. Ariel Hukporti posted a double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds. Rokas Jokubaitis added 16 points coming off the bench, and Damion Baugh also had 16 points. Justin Lewis and Dmytro Skapintsev each had 11 points off the bench.

Keon Ellis was the best player for the Kings with 29 points while adding six assists, four rebounds, four blocks and two steals. Mason Jones notched 20 points, seven assists and four rebounds. Isaac Jones posted 13 points, eight rebounds and three assists. No other Sacramento player scored in double digits.

The Kings next play Thursday against the Wizards, while the Knicks play Friday against the Pistons.
