I’ve always been interested in the interfaces between hardware and software engineering. My past work in aerospace and surgical robotics showed me the importance and need for easy-to-use industrial inspection technology. From working with sales to identify needs to building Neptune with our assembly team, Lumafield enables me to continue work on a wide range of my interests and passions.
At Lumafield, we prioritize collaboration and knowledge sharing within our resilient team, fostering an environment where everyone can succeed. The fast-paced nature of our work allows me to continuously evolve my skills while collaborating with top talent. Together, we excel by supporting one another through every challenge we face. Lumafield is an innovative and dynamic company that addresses critical challenges in manufacturing across various industries.
I joined because it felt like Lumafield was trying to do everything right from the beginning – the vision, the strategy, the product, the people. The more I learned about the company, the more excited I got. We have a lot of the right people in the right places, and that builds a really solid foundation to navigate the challenges we will face as a startup. Finally, I truly believe that I will be given opportunities to grow here. Lumafield has already demonstrated a willingness to promote from within, and that should be exciting to anyone looking to build a career.

We listen before speaking, lead with empathy, and show our customers that their problems are ours to solve.
Being a part of Lumafield means being willing to jump in wherever you can. In other organizations you can be siloed, only working on a part of the whole. Lumafield promotes the ability to wear multiple hats, supports you with resources, and encourages you to take on new challenges. I joined Lumafield as a frontend engineer with some backend experience. I’ve now switched over to DevOps engineering, which I love! I’ve learned so much in my short tenure, and I’m excited to have the opportunity to continue to learn.
I can be my authentic self here! What sets Lumafield apart is the genuine sense of camaraderie that permeates the workplace. The combination of an impressive company culture, the opportunity to contribute to impactful work, and the overall positive experience has solidified my desire to continue being part of this organization.
It’s rare to find a company that actually does what it says, but I’ve been extremely impressed with Lumafield in this regard. Integrity is one of our core values, and ever since the interview process, Lumafield has continued to keep integrity at its forefront. I saw representation on the interview team, I have ownership of my projects, and it’s been so rewarding working with capable people who actively listen. I truly believe we’re building an industry changing product with a company that wants to see individuals succeed.
