Following AMCHAM Korea's Doing Business in the U.S. Seminar 2024, Pamela Phan, Deputy Assistant Secretary for Asia at the U.S. Department of Commerce, shared her insights that the U.S.-Korea Alliance, founded on mutual trust and shared values, has never been stronger. She noted that thanks to initiatives like the CHIPS and Science Act and the Inflation Reduction Act, the U.S. is seeing record levels of Korean investment in critical sectors such as semiconductors and clean energy, fueling inclusive economic growth in both countries. SelectUSA Executive Director Jasjit Singh participated in a panel hosted by Embassy of Italy in the US where he discussed the role SelectUSA plays in strengthening U.S.-Italy investments, reaffirming the important partnership between both countries in growing FDI!

The U.S. and Swiss governments have renewed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to expand and strengthen quality apprenticeships and pathways to good jobs.   Wednesday’s signing underscores how Swiss investment creates opportunities through apprenticeships in U.S. communities and helps Americans gain skills and secure good jobs.
