Under Secretary Lago visited #Kyiv, Ukraine, and #Bucharest, Romania, to underscore U.S. support for #Ukraine and the U.S. Department of Commerce's commitment to transatlantic partnership on climate solutions. In Ukraine, she met with Ukrainian Ministers to emphasize the U.S. private sector's readiness to support Ukraine's defense, recovery, and reconstruction — to both win the war and win the peace. In Romania, she reinforced the Department's commitment to further cooperation on energy security and economic growth between the U.S. and Europe at a major transatlantic energy and climate conference: the Partnership for Transatlantic Energy and Climate Cooperation (P-TECC). In both countries, she met with businesswomen to discuss opportunities to improve women's economic and business participation as part of the EMPOWER HER initiative.
