Here’s how answering this one question can set you — and your team — up for success:

Insightful! A lot of organizations need to give up on the traditional ideas of leadership to add flexibility and boost innovation. In successful organizations, being a leader isn’t just about people managing others. Instead, it’s about helping everyone on your team be a leader. Empowered and autonomous teams are the future!
Don't look for jobs, let jobs or employers look for your unique experience. This approach will make a difference in the way you look for work. And you know, finding a job is a full time job. It should not be as frustrating as it's now
Trying to find excuses for my failures, they are normal reactions.
How is Ted Conferences changing? Can autonomous talks be done. I can setup a street level interactive exhibit for them in Milwaukee Wisconsin.
I'll keep this in mind
Insightful!

3moThe analogy with the birds is partially right. They fly in swirls to survive predators much like fish in the oceans. But the key is that the entire flock is moving organically, in tune with natural events rather than be restricted by linear rules. Hierarchies exist in Nature too such as in a pride of lions of pack of wolves, and then there is autonomy too. It is a matter of degree and propotion. What works for one may not work for the other and there are factors and parameters that feed into optimum performance. They key is to find the right balance. And humans are not a flock of birds. Our environments change it is important not to get tied down to any approach and to be flexible.
