While (almost!) everyone is aware that people are different and that most seasoned professionals are trained in different personality styles, what is less obvious to grasp are our different motivational styles. In fact, the motivational core - what gives a person energy and drives them forward - is not the same for everyone. Knowing this is important because what energises a person has an impact on so many important things. The aim is to get to know each other and find out what fuels each of us. Mélissa Paij Séverine L. This quote is an awesome perspective on hospitality. Most of us were taught the Golden Rule at some point growing up - treat people the way you want to be treated. How many of us really make it a point to live that out? Hospitality is one of my core values, and my mantra around it is to live the PLATINUM rule - treat people better than you would expect to be treated. I hope you get the chance to treat someone with more love and respect than they would expect you to this week! If you missed any of these insights from the past week, just scroll to the right! Have a wonderful week! #dailyquotesanddadjokes

Authenticity. Hospitality Tip of the Week, brought to you by my friends over at eTip. Doesn't get much more "authentic" than this video. There is so much to unpack in terms of authenticity in hospitality. Our guests demand it. Our team members need it. We are living in a time that 'authenticity' is critical to all interactions... and it certainly moved the meter when it comes to guest engagement and creating relationships. Can you even be hospitality without being authentic? I don't think so. So here's your permission to show up more authentically in everything you do this week. From your rockstar days to days you might be a little less motivated, be authentically you... but most importantly, the best version of yourself that day. What are your thoughts on authenticity? #hospitalityindustry #tipoftheweek #etip Nicolas Cassis Robert Petteruti

Reflecting on this year’s festival, beyond the glitz and glamour. 🧡 Here are some of my key takeaways after observing, (over)hearing, and experiencing human interactions in #Cannes during the festival, where various cultures, strong personalities, and ambitions meet: 1. Treat everyone with respect and kindness, regardless of their status. Character is often revealed in how we treat others. 2. Honesty, authenticity, and vulnerability are crucial in building genuine connections. 3. Uphold professionalism and integrity at all times. Respect others’ time, efforts, and work, and honor your words and commitments. Without integrity we have nothing. 4. Never compromise on self-respect and know your worth. If you’re not valued, withdraw gracefully. 5. Support each other—it’s the recipe for shared success. We’re all in this together. 6. Challenge the hierarchies—don’t let yours or anyones else’s stardom, wealth, or power influence your behavior. We’re all human beings fulfilling different roles and deserving of equal respect, be it the waiter, the receptionist, or the talent. Let’s embrace kindness as a guiding principle in our interactions, both at festivals and most importantly in our everyday lives. 🧡 ROSA FAIZZAD® Festival de Cannes
