Think Spring! Flowers and blue skies after the gloomy winter months, and finally an opportunity to get out and about. Well, it’s the same for clients and this is the season when global and regional spokespeople hit the road, update on announcements and make their tours of the regions. Hardly surprising that Asia is getting a lot of attention with all the turmoil and distractions in the other markets, and here at Priority Consultants, the past month has seen a large number of major press events. For anyone not familiar with the nuances across Southeast Asia, we shared a few tips on running media events in our region which we hope will be useful; from successfully scheduling around the enormous number of regional holidays and then managing the technical language. Read our Asia in Focus blog for more. https://lnkd.in/gukFV74u Jane Prior , Nolan Ovinis , Sunita Kaur Gill, Cristie Hilado , Seng Jin Lim #SpringBlooms #BlueSkiesAhead #GlobalSpokespeople #RegionalTours #AsiaFocus #MediaEvents #SoutheastAsiaTips #RegionalHolidays #TechnicalLanguage #AsiaInFocus

🌟 Can a simple cup of coffee change everything? Well, there's a lot more to it than you might think! ☕ Just returned to Malaysia 🇲🇾 from the Nordic Business Forum, and while the caffeine hit was on point, it wasn’t what left the biggest impression on me. 💜 It was the sense of being genuinely welcomed, the feeling that my opinions mattered, and the chance to connect with inspiring people in a safe, engaging space. It got me thinking 🤔… What really makes our everyday work experience great? Is it the tangible perks, or is it more about feeling valued, heard, and included? For me, it's about: 1️⃣ A sense of belonging 🤝 2️⃣ A culture that invites curiosity and growth 📚 3️⃣ Opportunities to connect and move (even beyond the coffee machine 😁 ) I’m curious to hear what are your top 3 essentials for a great work experience? 💬 Feel free to share in the comments! And let’s keep the conversation brewing! ☕ 😉 ---------------------------------- Can’t praise Nordic Business Forum team enough 🙏🏼 You are doing your work from heart, with passion, drive and care. And honestly, you’ve made it tough for any other conference to top this experience for me! )) #nordicbusinessforum #leadership #culture

“Back to basics”. That was the underlying theme of the recent McDonald’s Japan Convention I attended, and I think it has a powerful message for all of us. It was a fantastic event, I must say. 5,000 plus individuals gathered to explore the future of this global giant in the region, and there were some insightful discussions around the room. Their own “back to basics” strategy, focusing on their core strengths like great products, a vibrant culture, and a loyal customer base, was definitely the highlight for me. I think we can all agree it’s easy to be swayed by the newest trends or challenges. And yet, all too often, the simple, foundational elements of our operations are what truly drive success. At Welbilt, we pride ourselves on a similar foundation. Yes, we always have an eye on putting innovation on the table, but we never lose sight of the fundamentals that put us on the map. Those key elements that truly reflect our purpose, commitment to quality and simplicity, and connect us with our customers - that is ultimately what keeps our team dedicated and our clients loyal. As we prepare to celebrate Singapore National Day tomorrow, I felt this was an important message to share. Let’s embody this spirit of acknowledging and appreciating our roots. To honour our heritage and the fundamental values that have shaped this great nation. Happy National Day, Singapore! And to my Welbilt team, may we continue to deliver excellence. Follow the link below to see just how we do this. https://lnkd.in/gr_TrxHv

When your boss is moving on…. Never happy to see your boss moving on, esp when your boss has dedicated to build or rebuild an organisation that is central to the advancement of Singapore….. Staff in A*STAR know what I am talking about. For those outside A*STAR (Agency for Science, technology and Research), just to let you know that CE (Chief Executive) Frederick Chew has done what he had to do, and time is up for him to switch gear. He has given everything to the organisation, and we could not have asked for more. Wish him every success in his next chapter (he will!) and embrace the arrival of our next boss. I urge all to support us to support the growth of our nation. For those in A*STAR, we are in good hands, and entering a new phase. Stay positive.

Managing Director & Senior Partner - Regional Practice Area Leader for Consumer Goods for EMESA at Boston Consulting Group (BCG)
I spoke to Børsen about Boston Consulting Group (BCG) latest Global Talent Survey, where Denmark is highlighted as a magnet for global talent, offering robust career opportunities in a welcoming and safe environment. This makes Denmark more appealing than any other Nordic country, which is fantastic news for the many global companies headquartered here. What is more concerning, however, is that only a very few Danes (about 3%) are actively seeking opportunities abroad. This is an issue, in my humble opinion, as the value of international experiences is enormous and, in many cases, a prerequisite for joining the senior leadership of many great Danish companies. So my suggestion to Danish talents is to seek opportunities abroad; it is almost always a good investment in your career. #GlobalCareers #WorkAbroad #Copenhagen #Denmark

Embracing Cultural Diversity in #PhilipMorrisInternational: A Journey Beyond Multiculturalism. I am beyond thrilled to share the success of our recent Employee Resource Group (ERG) #EMBRACEItalia event in Philip Morris Manufacturing&Technology Bologna Italy. This event would not have been possible without our steering committee members which I would like to thank personally: Daniele Boanini Alessandra A. Elisabeth Jo Altruda Elisa Vellucci who have successfully led this event. As a member of this group I would like to share that Embrace's objective is to raise awareness on multiculturality, provide a sense a belonging to our employees and also give space to everyone to voice their #uniqueness. ERGs are voluntary employee-led groups, hence, everything stems from the members who go above and beyond their daily tasks to make ERGs an effective reality. Our cultural menu for the event included: - Exploring the nuances between multicultural, cross-cultural, and intercultural approaches - A hands-on exercise inspired by Dr. Erin Meyer's enlightening book, "The Culture Map" - Diving into the curious ways nationalities shape our behaviors Some highlights from our journey: - We compared greetings in France and Japan (Kissing vs. Bowing) - We uncovered how some cultures shift from direct to indirect communication when the message turns negative - We ventured beyond buzzwords, discussing intersectionality and its impact on cross-border experiences. #EMBRACEItalia isn't just about avoiding missteps - it's about opening our minds to the world's cultural richness. By embracing diversity, we unlock endless learning opportunities. Proud to be part #PhilipMorrisInternational, proud to be part of #EMBRACEItalia team. Amazing thanks and well done to the team and to Rudra Chakraborty to let the audience enjoy the delicious menu.

It's Malaysia Day weekend, and our office is closed in celebration. Perspective Strategies takes great pride in the diversity and inclusivity of the team. Ours is a multi-racial group, with members practicing different religions, speaking various languages at home, and even having distinct dietary preferences shaped by our religious and cultural beliefs. This diversity is what defines us as Malaysians and, more importantly, strengthens us as a team. We are truly grateful for this and it forms part of the value we bring to clients. While we remain hopeful that our country will continue to prosper and thrive peacefully, we can't help but feel a sense of concern for her future. Malaysia often celebrates her multi-ethnic and culturally rich society, but when we look closely, the thread that binds us feels more fragile than ever. The fragility that we face today should be seen as an opportunity - a call for us to reflect, rebuild, and come together as a stronger nation. Selamat Hari Malaysia 🇲🇾. I was fortunate enough to celebrate New Year in Singapore – what an incredible place. My daughter had previously worked there and returning for New Year together, was a post COVID plan which we were finally able to achieve. We enjoyed many aspects of an engaging nation, with ease of access to transport, walking routes and a real sense of East meets West in a blend of culture and history. Visiting the National Gallery was a highlight. I am not usually an ‘art person’ – I know what I like, but the Liu Kuo-Sung exhibition on Experimentation as Method, triggered hugely positive engagement and discussion in relation to challenge and the critical role that innovation contributes. His narrative was fascinating and I could not help but draw parallels in achieving excellence in HR’s role to encourage interaction, supporting mutual growth and maturity; naturally restraining each other as a new vitality is created through collaboration. Over a 70 year+ career, Liu Kuo-Sung has said that he continues to progress his thinking and now feels that art or culture, should be borderless and global, not nationalist. He was asked the question: where do you find inspiration to express yourself? ….a great question. A very thought provoking visit. #singapore #nationalgallerysingapore #liukuosung #experimentationasmethod #reinvention #perspectives

[Seed of Career] - Seed 7: The Best Workplaces When looking around these best workplaces in Vietnam in 2024, there're overall trends in company's strategic management system which employees found that their company is the great place for them to work: "1. Management integrity: employees’ experiences and observations around management’s actions matching their words and delivering on their promises. 2. Fair treatment and equal opportunities: fair and impartial decision making, equitable opportunities for recognition and promotions, and providing fair recourse for unfair treatment 3. Effective communication, collaboration and staff engagement: intentional efforts to clarify expectations, giving straight answers to questions asked, genuinely seeking and responding to employee feedback and ideas, and involving employees in decision making. 4. Demonstrating support: showing appreciation for employees’ contributions and extra effort, as well as celebrating their efforts to try new and better ways of doing things ... Fashion Garments Ltd. upholds the principle of “We listen, we care,” recognizing the invaluable role of feedback in fostering a culture of continuous improvement and employee engagement. It makes a point of responding to employee feedback promptly and transparently, with a view to making improvements and meeting the needs of their employees. With around 11,000 employees across six locations in Vietnam, this is no small feat. Feedback is collected through regular engagement platforms including surveys, focus group interviews, townhalls, employee forums, as well as a variety of digital platforms. This ensures that employees have a variety of opportunities and platforms to share their input and perspectives, and caters to a range of diverse communication preferences. This feedback is then promptly acknowledged and publicly addressed to foster a culture of transparency and accountability. Important feedback and responses are also posted on announcement boards for easy access to all employees. In addition to written communication, feedback and responses are also broadcast via a sound system to reach employees across different areas of the workplace." (Cited from "Great is Possible: Best Workplaces™ in Vietnam Lead the Way" article - Author: Pamela SNG, Ha Minh Chau, Isabelle Tan). As the member of Hirdaramani Vietnam - Fashion Garments Limited, I recognized how these following values are being run across our management structure.
