The Dragon Boat Festival is one of the most popular traditional festivals celebrated in China, which is on the fifth of the fifth lunar month, also known as Duanwu Festival. It's said that it is to commemorate a Chinese patriotic poet, Qu Yuan. The traditions and customs held on this festival differ from place to place, but there are some common in them. First, the most famous and great tradition is holding Dragon Boat races. Nowadays dragon boat races have been an annual popular sport activity among people. In addition, making and eating Zongzi—a dumpling made of glutinous rice and wrapped in bamboo or reed leaves—is also a popular custom during this day. It can be made by many kinds of stuffing. These customs and traditions have been changed a little in recent years, but they still make contribution to the spread and inheritance of Chinese culture. https://lnkd.in/gjfrGAgP #titanium #ti #titaniumbar #titaniumwire #titaniumplate #titaniumtube #titaniumsheet #alloy

Kites flying high in the sky represent the soaring spirit of a free nation. It’s a metaphor for India’s liberation from colonial rule, symbolising the country’s aspirations and the struggles of its freedom fighters. Kite flying brings together communities, transcending social, economic, and cultural barriers. People from all walks of life participate in the festivities, enhancing a sense of national unity and brotherhood. Kites are often designed in the national colors of saffron, white, and green, adding to the patriotic spirit of the day. Some cities organise kite festivals where enthusiasts and professional kite flyers showcase their skills. These festivals include kite-making workshops, exhibitions, and competitions for the highest-flying kite or the most creatively designed kite. Friendly competitions are held where participants try to cut down the strings of each other’s kites using specially prepared strings, known as "manjha," coated with powdered glass. The thrill and excitement of these contests make them a popular feature of the celebrations. Kite flying is often a family affair, with people gathering on rooftops or open fields. Families prepare special snacks and drinks, making it a festive occasion. The demand for kites and related materials creates a bustling market in the days leading up to Independence Day. Artisans and vendors benefit economically, contributing to the local economy. In recent years, there has been a push towards using eco-friendly materials for kites and string to reduce environmental harm and protect wildlife. Authorities often issue guidelines and safety measures to prevent accidents and ensure the safety of participants and spectators. Overall, kite flying on Independence Day is a unique and culturally significant celebration in India. It encapsulates the joy of freedom, fosters community spirit, and adds a colourful, festive touch to the national holiday. . . . #namasteinformed #namastedemocracy #IndependenceDay #KiteFlying #FreedomSpirit #KitesOfIndia #UnityInDiversity #PatrioticCelebration #KiteFestival #Manjha #NationalColors
