📢Today Dogger Bank Wind Farm launches one of the largest community investments in offshore wind in the UK - The £25 million community fund will build on the £1 million community fund already invested in the North and North-East of England during the construction phase of the world’s largest wind farm 💨 🧪 🔭🧮The fund will be used to enhance science, technology, engineering and maths (STEM) education for young people during the planned 35-year operational lifespan of the wind farm, equipping them with the skills to succeed in a net zero world. The investment includes: 👷♀️👷Building on the job creation of the existing fund which has supported 2,000+ jobs in the UK - contributing to the 100,000+ jobs needed in offshore wind to meet current national targets. 🎓 Growing the current scholarship programme with 30 scholarships a year for students studying STEM subjects. 📚Helping support young people - with 36,000+ young people across 204 schools having been supported through the existing fund. This includes 62 university scholarships and 87 grants to local community groups! Youth empowerment is a crucial aspect of societal development, as young people represent the future leaders and innovators of tomorrow. In order to ensure a prosperous and sustainable future, it is essential to provide young people with the necessary tools, resources, and opportunities to unleash their full potential. While youth empowerment can be fostered at the local level through policies and programs implemented by governments and community organizations, the outside world also has a role to play in supporting and promoting youth empowerment on a global scale. One of the most effective ways the outside world can contribute to youth empowerment is through financial support. Many young people around the world lack access to basic resources such as education, healthcare, and clean water. By providing financial assistance to organizations and initiatives that aim to improve the lives of young people, the outside world can help ensure that all young people have the opportunity to thrive and succeed. Additionally, financial support can also be used to fund youth entrepreneurship programs, which can help young people develop the skills and knowledge needed.

I love that a long-term client bought me a book to enhance my thinking of systems alignment while working on a short project! Uniting allied youth ecological systems in one city is not a small feat. Aiming to center readers on ensuring youth thrive, 'It Takes An Ecosystem' highlights the importance of relationships amongst people, places, and possibilities. Bridging theory and reality, it incorporates current perspectives of national youth development leaders like the Forum for Youth Investment and contextualizes commonly known developmental youth ecological supports (like Bronfenbrenner's ecological theory). #alwaysalearner #loveevaluation
