USAP-Maryland recently hosted a Regional Anesthesia Teaching Conference at University of Maryland Baltimore Washington Medical Center, led by the exceptional Drs. Taghreed Alshaeri and Philippa Belton. Clinicians from BWMC and Capital Region Medical Center participated in insightful lectures and hands-on training, honing techniques for the upper extremity, lower extremity, and torso. The USAP Houston team proudly partnered with CYCLE Houston- CHANGING YOUNG CHILDRENS LIVES THROUGH EDUCATION, dedicating over 50 hours to help build 1,500 bikes for hardworking 2nd graders from 86 Title 1 schools. These bikes reward students for achieving their goals, teaching them that effort leads to reward. #USAPCares

As we begin 2025, we’re reflecting on the incredible impact of last year’s USAP Cares Week! Our teams supported 23 organizations and positively impacted over 60,000 lives, making a lasting difference in the communities we serve. The Shared Services Stronger Together Committee recently hosted its 3rd annual Innovation Competition, where our RCM, IT, and Data teams showcased their innovative ideas to USAP leadership. This competition highlights innovative solutions with the potential to make a meaningful impact across our organization. The top three ideas were presented live to executive and physician leadership, offering teams a chance to gain visibility, learn about key performance indicators, and grow their skill sets. Over the years, USAP has implemented several winning ideas, including those that didn’t win.
