Eighty-five percent of gender investors adopted a gender lens because it aligned with their organizational impact mission with 40% doing so to align with the SDGs. Our latest market intelligence report dives deep into the growing role of gender lens investing (GLI) using data from our 2024 Impact Investor Survey. Explore how integrating a gender lens into investment strategies not only advances gender equality but also drives stronger financial outcomes by downloading the In Focus: Gender and Impact Investing 2024 report at https://lnkd.in/eyxbKqEe The GIIN found that despite challenges, gender lens investing continues to demonstrate its potential to drive both financial performance and social impact: ✅Ninety percent of gender investors met or exceeded their financial expectations, with 97% achieving their impact targets. 📈Seventy-five percent of gender investor respondents reported that the benefit of adopting GLI was the ability to achieve greater impact, with just over half (51%) reporting the benefits of strong impact results and better financial performance. 🌍While 42% of gender investors focused on emerging markets, these regions account for only 18% of total impact AUM compared to developed markets, which attracted 66% of impact AUM from a similar percentage of investors (48%). 🏠Gender investors target all 17 Sustainable Development Goals, not just gender equality and prioritize sectors like energy, infrastructure and housing, with 64% who planned to increase allocations. Gender lens investing is an approach to investing that considers all gender-based factors across the investment process to better inform decision-making in financial markets. We’re grateful to partners like Investing in Women, whose efforts continue to drive progress in gender equality and economic empowerment.
